I got 180 Animal Crossing Streetpassers so far and i've noticed a pattern with the houses and players i got. Most of them are cookie cutter if you ask me because i listed the signs of a bad-looking player and it's house furniture.
SIGNS OF A BAD-LOOKING STREETPASSER

  • House containing a Paw-Print Wall
  • House containing Basic Red Bed
  • Anything from Re-tail when the player first moved in the house
  • All Nintendo items
  • Balloon Series
  • Nintendo Village designs
  • Lantern
  • Music Box with Bubblegum K.K. & K.K. Disco.
  • Default Town tune
  • Same generic starting player picture
  • Player wearing Link Hats and other Nintendo Stuff
  • Same generic "Thanks!" phrase

Sorry if this have may offended you all, but it's just generic to see the same nintendo items appear in the houses.

I have only had the one, seems legit since I don't go outside. It was just the Nintendo stuff though and I do have the balloon set but I also have my all time favourite one in my biggest room. I only really try to impress myself, not other people.

I get more bored with the people who have the rococo-rococo-rococo setup, myself. Seems like I get two basic types of ACNL streetpassers, people with a one-room house, red bed and a Nintendo item or two who evidently abandoned the game months ago, or people all decked out for HHA points who always use rococo. Every time I see a mansion with fairytale-themed exterior I know it's gonna be all rococo inside, all of the time.

I got one, people who think I decorate my house for them...
I happen to like the Nintendo items And I like bubblegum kk, big deal! Doesn't make me a bad street passer, the rest of my house has other things not on your list so why does a few "bad" things write me off?
I don't decorate for you, it's just a part of the game you get to see my house, not here to show off, just play the game my way.
Sheesh rude much?

I really don't care how people decorate their houses. I think they're interesting whether they're a jumble of random things or complete sets and nothing else. I decorate my house the way I like (and I do happen to love the rococo set, because it looks pretty) and I happen to get big points for my house at the HHA, even though it's not my goal. Last time I checked, I have like 183,000 points. I think it's boring when you revolve your time in AC making your town look nice to others. I make my town and house look the way I want because I'll be spending the most time in it. I do leave little gifts for dream villagers, but everything else I do is because I want to.

the hostility in this thread is making me uncomfy so i retract my post :(

I've seen people who's houses I thought looked kind of generic because of those items.
However I've also seen houses with the same things that were pretty cool because of how they arranged them.
Overall I guess I don't really care too much as long as they have something in their house that I want to buy. >.>;

We're just saying it's a little boring to see the same thing over and over.

Insecure much?

I've only streetpassed one person who had played ACNL and that was back in June. So, of course, their house was very cookie-cutter looking, mine was probably too back then.

Who are you to criticize how someone else chooses to design their OWN house!? It's their game not yours. Don't get yourself involved in their gameplay.

I don't care about what the house looks like, I would just be grateful to get someone in my showcase!
Seriously. There is no one around here who has a 3DS except little kids. :l

I agree. Don't act all high and mighty because your house looks "better". :| I'm pretty much happy about any Streetpass.

My house is pretty unique, but I like Bubblegum K.K...okay, so? That doesn't make me a bad Streetpasser.
But yeah, it does get boring when people use the same things over and over again.

Don't see the need to criticize. My spots are always full. I read their info first. If it's a really low score I figured they weren't too into the game. Deleted them and move on. But beware...they may just have that one item you've been searching for. Lots cheaper to buy there than from someone wanting major bells for a common item.

I don't see why people with a Nintendo room are considered "bad-looking Streetpassers" to you. It takes time to collect each piece of that set. Some people actually like the balloon series. Some people like Bubblegum K.K.

You have a problem with this? Turn Streetpass off and don't worry about it.

I only have the default 3 houses in my showcase. I have nowhere to StreetPass since I live in a somewhat small town.

To be honest, this is the sole reason I visit the HHA Plaza. And as for being a "good" streetpasser: Granted, seeing the same thing over and over again can be irritating, but I don't think it's very fair to judge, especially since there are players who could care less about how their house looks, let alone how others feel about it.

Like other PP have said, I'm happy to get others houses in my showcases. I'm only about a month into the game, but not really had a lot of people online or streetpass. I got a few (alas, only 2) during the Nintendo Steetpass event this last December and was super happy. I'm always curious to see what others have done. I get really excited if they have things that I've yet to come across or arranged it in a way I've not thought of.

I love it when I get street pass, and if their house is filled with much used series like rococo, so be it.

I love rococo, and will not remove it from my home just because everybody have it, if everybody has it why must I deny a cute set to myself? Just so that I can humor other street passers?

It's my home!

Same about the other items, what if someone loves balloon-set? Last time I checked you actually have to work to get it!
