So this is my site where I can rant and complain all I want and have some support. So this time, I have another issue with nookazon.
I have a crafting service on there and I have quite a few followers, and I gave someone a 5 star review because they followed me (you usually get more business if you have more followers) and they LITERALLY GAVE ME A 1 STAR REVIEW IN RETURN! and I quote:
I’m a little confused why I received a 5 star rating simply for following when the seller never accepted my offer for an item that I had the materials for crafting.
Like wtf
I also gave someone a 3 star review because they gave a winner of a giveaway 1 star saying "ugh I wanted to win "
A lot of others also gave them bad reviews because they were being a sore-loser
But i checked
and i was the only one who got a 1 star in return

anyways, I reported them and I am still upset.

Oy I love Nookazon for most of my transactions but it’s a pain in the rear sometimes. Plus the economy is really out of whack right now, especially on fall materials. I can’t wait for September to roll by so I can stock up on a metric ton of pine cones and acorns

Not hating but good luck with that I shook trees tons of times and got tons of sticks and few pine cones and acorns in my former island. It actually got a little annoying. Maybe they'll improve their drop rate in an update

Nookazon is an absolute nightmare. I can't tell scammers from genuine people on there anymore so I feel ya. I wanted to purchase a red raincoat to complete my rainy day outfit. Easy enough, right? Wrong! I noticed someone selling one for 3,500 bells, so I offered 3,500 bells. I then copied down their Discord and messaged them. Just a short, friendly message. Actually, lemme check if I still have it.
"hey! i recently made an offer on your red raincoat on nookazon."
They made a point to put in the bio/description (I can't remember!) to message them on Discord and tell them that I offered. Just that!
Still haven't received a response. This was on June 1. I deleted my account a week later.

Darn, I mostly use TBT but use Nookazon when I need to sell or buy a certain item, but sometimes the listings on Nookazon just make my eye roll. 80 NMT for a rover’s briefcase? They say it’s so hard getting it because of the maze you have to do in order to obtain the briefcase, but I finished that maze in less than 15 minutes! And I see some listings for Raymond that go all the way up to 1k NMT’s. Nookazon is just filled with greedy price gougers

Dang :/ sorry to hear that. I’d be pretty frustrated with petty behavior like that myself since I have severe anxiety. I also appreciate the warning; gives me a reason not to go to Nookazon. Had enough of a headache with reddit (not personally and not AC trade related but, but with a friend I made on a gacha game subreddit being bullied and mods doing nothing - the ones that were active).

Yeah Nookazon is an experience... I try to use the forums for as much as possible as well as the tbt discord but when it comes to specific villagers I usually end up having to go to Nookazon and I have had some pretty bad experiences. I have never been scammed mind you, mostly because I generally only want "unpopular" villagers because they are the ones I happen to like but the amount of times I get ghosted, left to wait for really long periods of time and get charged extra for an "ungifted" villager who in 3 experiences ends up NOT being ungifted and has ugly clothing is too often. Sorry to hear about the review experience! Hopefully it gets fixed at some stage.

Luckily I've never ran into a scammer on it but yeah some people charge way too much. Also I personally never really liked the whole "make an offer" trend people follow.

I swear - the people on there make their account and then say "alright, bye." They go inactive for weeks!

I used Nookazon VERY often and yeah, a lot of people are immature. Tons of little kids on there too.

The most ridiculous thing that happened to me was that someone offered 3000 bells for an extra Moon DIY that I had, so I declined politely with the "offer too low" button, and they got mad

There was a little kid on the Nookazon discord that wanted to have my Dodo code and I asked if he was even going to trade with me, and he said no

Why give a 5 star review just for the person following you, though? Isn't that kind of an abuse of the system?

But yeah, Nookazon is a very frustrating website, I only use it if I have to have a certain item that I'm having a hard time finding on here.

People usually do that. I have gotten a few as well. You tend to get more business for the more followers you have. I guess that person doesn't like thank yous?
People usually update them when they trade though
