When I talked to Bob, he said that Ricky was sneezing a lot the other day, and hoped Ricky wasn't allergic to him. Does this mean anything?

It may be a warning that Ricky is sick, yes. Have you tried talking to other villagers or going to check out Ricky's house?

It may just be a line of dialogue.
Whenever a villager is actually sick and another villager tells you, they'll straight up tell you "They've been really sick."
Just in case, simple check on them.
If you can't afford medicine (which I doubt) just go and get stung by a bee and talk to an Uchi.
They'll always give you medicine.
Do that every day and you'll be set. Just a free way to get medicine.

I don't think there's any way to tell if a villager will become sick. It just sounds like a line of dialogue lazy villagers would say.

It also doesn't mean that its rumors either. Just repetitive gossip from a lazy villager it seems.

My lazies tell me this very often. It's just a dialogue line they tend to say.

When a villager is sick, lazies will say something close to "x villager is sick/has a cold! You should check up on them"

In my last town no one ever told me about a sick villager until I've actually handed them medicine.

I don't think it's a warning. Jeremiah has said that a certain villager was sneezing a lot around the other day, and that he hopes they aren't allergic to him. The villager he's talking about is never sick the next day or shortly after he says that, so I doubt it.

Mine don't always tell me when somebody is sick either, but in this case this sort of dialogue is just typical for a lazy. I've never found it to mean anything and I've had a lot of lazy villagers and heard it lots of times

I think it's just a phrase they use, it does not have any significance of any sort. It does not mean they're sick.
