There has got to be other ways to get alot of bells. I'm trying to save up for villagers and just whatever but I can see myself getting sick of this game so fast if I have to spend hours catching beetles every day. Like I saw that someone paid 40M for Diana the other day. HOW. It's taken me probably 5 hours of beetle catching just to make 2.5M

Have you chopped down all your regular trees in the island? If you do that, and leave about 3-5 palm trees on your island, you have a much higher chance of getting rare and expensive beetles.

edit: Just thought... if you ever find fossils that are already in the museum then you can sell them at re-tail for 9,999 bells each. Just put them up for sale, wait in the middle of the shop, when a villager comes in just push them around until they want to buy something. :D

I made my initial millions by selling off a villager (lolly).

If you have a rather popular villager you wouldn't mind giving away, you can make quite a lot :)

Yeah I've thought about selling Turnips but I TT alot so I don't think it would work out too well for me. Plus I make about 250k on one trip catching beetles so I think that's easier. Just gets boring after awhile. I don't have any popular villagers right now, but I will for sure sell them when I do. Seems like people make alot of bells that way. Thanks guys :)

Sell your unwanted villagers on gamefaqs. *cough* I got 60m for Rosie last night.

Erm, you could horde all your perfect fruit then find a town that's buying for premium. You could also do turnips.

People normally come out with turnip prices as soon as Monday, the day right after. If you're just willing to wait a day, it can pay off well. (1 mil worth of turnips will automatically turn into 5 mil, 5 mil can automatically turn into 30 mil, it just snowballs up). Sometimes, people even have high turnip prices on sunday just because their time is set differently. You just have to look out for them

You'll also find turnip prices more commonly on this board:
http://www.animalcrossingcommunity.com/boards.asp?BoardID=257

It's pretty easy, you just have to dedicate to 1-3 days for it

----

Or if you have high prices, you can advertise it and you can easily get like 100k-1mil in tips per person, and sometimes people are nice enough to give 2-3 mil if they are selling lots. I made 8 mil just by sitting there throwing beans at people while they sold their turnips at my town lol

That someone got ripped off. Villagers cost nothing to obtain as long as you're patient.

This! I never understood how people can spend that much on a villager when you can always have a chance of getting them in your campsite for free.

I totally understand you though, I have always been amazed how people have like billions of bells to spend! But I made about 1 mil selling turnips the other day, that was the most I ever had in the bank lol

Turnips, theres a google doc in the stalk market where people post their turnip prices, so you can sell for a huuuge profit.
Just make sure you sell them before the week you bough them in ends, or they will rot.

I’m gonna let you in on a little secret... You don’t need to constantly make money, if you're tired of Beatle catching and don’t like the idea of turnip trading, then save up a bit of money and take a break from it. You can start back up when you feel more up to it and when you do, you don’t need to do it every day.
Games are meant to be enjoyed, if its starting to feel more like a chore, then you're not having fun.

There is an easier way. Turnips. I made an 8.3 million bells profit with turnips this week. Bought 18,000 and sold them yesterday for 555 bells. I like to check the subreddit /r/acturnips, however I sold my turnips yesterday on /r/actrade. I'm also part of the stalk market community hear which has over 200 people posting prices. There are tons of places to sell turnips so it's really easy to make a big profit.
