An appreciation thread for those whose favorite villagers happen to be unpopular

Puddles- Puddles is such a cutie. So sweet and has a mischievous streak. I don’t care that it looks like she is wearing underwear on her head, I love her to death

Megan- Megan was my first normal, which happens to be one of my favorites. She is such a sweetheart and she makes the cutest faces

Dobie- Hes an old man. What else can I say?

Skye- Im not too sure about her popularity, but the impression i get is that she is not popular. I think she is criminally underrated. She was in my new leaf town and i feel in love with her charming personality. Ill never forget how much she loves reading. She is my favorite villager in the game by far

Shep- Another one whose popularity I am unsure of, I actually love shep. He’s a little cocky, but has a heart of gold. Love how chill he is

Eugene - it should be a hate crime that he's as underrated as he is

Cyd - I think they gave him the wrong personality but he honestly has the best design of the new villagers

Stinky - he's just funny. that's it.

Renee! Even with the other Uchis she’s never shown lots of love! They even made another uchi with the name of Reneigh! Horrid! I love her so much! She’s a delinquente with a heart of gold! She’ll protect you from bullies and then give you bandaids and snacks! I love her so much!!

Many of my favorite ones are in the bottom! Gaston, Bam, Ricky, Jacques, Paolo, Ava, Cube... and so many more!

Of my current villagers, I think my least popular ones are Roscoe and Pierce. Both are so sweet! Roscoe might look a little scary at first but he's so nice and always asks me to be careful of running haha He also loves to sing!

Pierce is my favourite jock! Although a lot of people don't like the jock personality, I think he's one of the best looking eagles and actually looks like a jock hahaha

I love Skye! I miss her every day she's not on my island ;__; I didn't know I could get her poster from Harv's island and recently bought it from someone since I want to find her again. She was kicked out by a campsite visitor (Ankha) when I didn't know about the campsite reset. My other fave is Kitt, Katt and Flip! Katt and Flip were my original uchi and jock villagers but I moved them out because of their houses. I'd like to find them again one day and move them back in

Mallary- Moved in next to me in New Leaf and she has been there ever since. She always walks in on me at home and obsessively runs up to me. she was kind so I miss her.

Kitty- Beautiful, underrated cat that seems to have different snooty dialogue than Judy. She looks the part of someone that is sophisticated!

Annalise-An islander horse with a nice blend of pink and brown colors. She isanother example of a great snooty. In fact, all of these are.

Jacques- A great snooty! Jk but he is a DJ bird that looks like he flew from a smoky mountain in Colorado. He is awesome.

Bill- He was in my Gamecube town and he makes having a jock bearable. He is a simple, cute duck.

Clay has the most adorable dialogue. I saw him fishing the other day going "hheeerree fishy fish, come out and let me taste you" and when he moved in he called himself a little adventurer

Bettina gives off such Collette from Ratatouille vibes and she went off about pens and stationary. Also can't get over her expressions when I saw her reading the other day

I feel like people forget about the welcome amiibo villagers so Im here to show some love for Bea, Tybalt and Wade

Bea has the cutest freckles and like a blush across her nose she is so sweet

Tybalt had these cute lil brows and he calls me touchdown I love him

And Wade looks like a baby penguin.....what more can I say hes adorable!

I know i am starting to mention Olive so much in my posts lately so bear with me guys XD She is a normal/sweet cub and that category is already overflowing with cute villagers but Olive is just so dear to me.

Hippeux. I wasn't happy at all when he was the first camper that visited my island since he's so ugly.....I tried to be mean to him by felt too bad and started just treating him like everyone else. I actually love his personality and he writes and sweetesy letters on top of that his house is actually super cool, I love his set up so much! He also gives me quite a few DIYs that I actually really like.

Bonus point to him for always giving me medicine when I get stung by wasps lol

Cube - He's a cute penguin and a lazy one at that. He's been with me since New Leaf.

Dobie - He really is a sweet old man. Never had him before but when I saw him I knew I had to get him. Didn't regret it.

Velma: She is so cute! I adore her glasses and her little beard, she is rather sweet as well, I love her house and that she has music instruments in there :>

Buck: I can't believe he isn't talked about too much, he's a cool jock villager who is fun to talk to!

Bruce: Deer villagers tend to be popular but Bruce doesn't seem to be as talked about, he looks super cool and I like him!

Bea is my favorite villager and I definitely feel she needs way more love. She's an absolute sweetheart and I adore her little bakery-themed house. Also, I love how it sounds when she says her catchphrase. <3

Sly, Tybalt, and Rooney are also a few unpopular villagers I have a soft spot for.

Walker!! He's been my favorite since Wild World, which was my first AC game, when i was little and didn't have a concept of dreamies. The thing was, I never even had him in my town! I just saw him in the guide book and decided i loved him. Since then I've had him in CF and NL, and i'm not actively trying to get my dreamies yet in NH but I can't wait till I finally get him. His design is so simple and cute!

I also really like Vic, who I got very early into NL, and thought I would get rid of quickly, but he grew on me. I really love crankies.
