Yes, for sure. I would love to have a second island without having to purchase another switch. This is ridiculous.
I think you should be able to have more than one island on your switch as you want whether it is through buying the game again and again (which isn't possible anymore) or by making another Nintendo Switch account on the same switch.
But... Nintendo wants every house to have more than one switch.
If making another nintendo account allowed another island I would so do it.
