Reset my town? I've been working on it for a year but I don't really feel very attached to it :/ and I think it would be so fun to try to make a Neverland themed town, as of right now IvyBelle doesn't really have a theme

If you don?t feel attached to your town and thinking about creating another town is taking up enough of your time that you need extra opinions, then I?d wager you already know the answer and you just need *us to tell you it?s okay. So it?s okay! This game is amazing in that each person who plays is getting something different out of it. If you?re not totally in love with your little village, then what?s the point? It?s supposed to be a magical place so you need to do what is going to make it magical for YOU.

That being said, I?m a new-ish player and I don?t know what I?m talking about so I might not know anything at all But I kind of wish I could start my town over again too because I know so much more than I did when I started!

Do it! I worked on my old town for a year, but I TT too much and got stuff done in a very short time and at the end I had no more to do. I felt bored and I felt I needed to work on a town in a more ?natural?, meaning slow pace way. So I sold my old town to Tom Nook and restarted. Best decision ever. Now I have so much fun again and I?m not TT to get things done. Plus my town is coming along even prettier than the oldest. So I recommend you to do it!

It is definitely okay to reset your town, but maybe you are hesitating for some reason. Do you love your layout or your villagers? Then maybe buying a new cartridge and starting a new town that way is the answer. That's what I did. I put my first (kinda boring and unsatisfactory) town to "sleep" for a number of months (you know how to do that?) while I worked on my new second town with all the knowledge that I had gained on my first. I absolutely love my second town of Elenrast and it is complete and (practically) perfect, imho. (You can see it at my DA )

When Elenrast was finished, I went back to my first town, thought about it, didn't want to try to get my favorite villagers all over again and liked my map, so I did a fresh start. Erased all paths, chopped down most trees, dug up bushes, demolished most PWP's and completely redid the town, which I now love, also, though it is not complete yet. I even gutted the mayor's house down to the bare floors and walls (meaning I removed even wallpaper and flooring).

Warning! Buying a second cartridge might launch you onto the "slippery slope," as TBT member hoodathotit aptly calls becoming the mayor of multiple towns! (I bought my third cartridge at Christmas...haven't opened it yet, but soon...)

Blessings!

I reset my town after having played it for like 3 or 4 years. The only thing I'm sad about is I lost all my dlc items. I had some region exclusives that I can't get anymore. If you have special items that you don't want to lose, see if a friend can hold onto them in their town until you've settled into your new one.

I could never reset.
Thinking about the waiting for bush starts, the badges, the DLC, the unlocking the train station upgrade alone makes me cringe!
