My birthday is in April, and I was wondering if it was worth buying a new copy. I really want a more open town... And my mum said if I wanted to I could... So should I buy a second copy of new leaf?
I'm not going to reset catville.... But I'm just disappointed about the house placements. I want to keep everything... So would a second copy be wise? I mean I could also use catville for cycling afterwards....

If I were in your place, I personally would buy another copy. Catville (hopefully) holds memories, and just deleting those would make me cry, even if the memories were bad.
Also, happy early birthday!

Ok, Ty :3
I'm hoping for that layout where you can get a private house... And all the villagers won't annoy you...
Let's hope. I'm going to get a few more opinions, but really appreciate that you took the time to answer :3

Well, would you play it often enough for it to be worth the money? How upset would you be if, say, your Catville town was corrupted tomorrow? (knock on wood!) Would you be okay with it and start over? If so, maybe it's best for you to just reset? If you get a really nice map in your alt town, would the small problems in Catville bug you enough to reset because you see how perfect your new town is?

I would get another copy if you really enjoy this game! If you play it a lot and have the money to buy another copy. Why not :)

Depends on how much time you have and how dedicated you are to the game. If you're unsure I'd wait for a bit and see how you feel later. If you still feel like you want a copy by all means I think you should.

Talking about resetting... I almost lost catville when it glitched and wouldn't save properly... And I cried.... Yes (I feel like such a wimp) but I cried due to all the animals and items I had and how long it took, so resetting won't work for me (I'm such a wuss...) I really just want to be able to get around properly, rather than everything being everywhere

Also, if it helps, I've invested 900 hours in the game

You aren't a wuss, I can say I'd be really upset if I lost my town, and I know a ton of people would feel the exact same way!

However, something to think about-- when you first start your game, it's very easy to get dreamies through the reset method when the game gives you a new villager every couple days.

Maybe a second copy is the best option for you. And maybe once you get really attached to your new town, you'll get less attached to Catville and feel better about resetting if you ever get the inkling to do so? I say you should go for it! I would get a second copy, but I feel like I wouldn't play it as often as my current town.

Another copy, But it's kinda hard to keep up with but it's nice to have a different village with a different theme different villagers and such ^~^

Yeah, I was planning to turn the second copy into my main town and make it all sherlocky :P
Also, most of my dreamies are the same type, so the reset trick would be harder

Yes, I would get a second copy if I were you. It's obviously going to take more work than having one, but if you really want it I think you should go for it. :) I know I would...#jealousy >w<
And happy early birthday!
