So, my second town, Sherwood, is really nice. It has a nice map, good villagers, etc... but I'm considering resetting it. "What's the problem?" you may ask. Well, the problem is me. For one thing, I planned on giving my character a different name, but I had a brain fart and named her Maddie again. She wasn't even supposed to resemble me in the first place, she was supposed to resemble an OC of mine. Secondly, the face just isn't working out. It's a face I like, but it just doesn't fit my character very well.
So, right now, I'm at a slump. As much as I don't want to reset my town that I've only had for three days, there's just so many negatives with the mayor. What do you guys think I should do? Should I reset or wait it out?
I'd say reset. Names and faces can't be changed, and villagers can be obtained again. It might end up bothering you as you play and not like the face/name.
There's also no point waiting to be able to sell your town. The requirements are far for where you're at in your town now, plus you have to pay off your loan entirely, for a measly amount of bells in the end.
Yeah, you have a very good point. Sherwood was only 3 days in, and the only villager I actually cared about was Boris, who I can easily get moved back in.

Though, to be honest, I don't think I'll reset. My map is too good, and if I name my mayor after an OC, I'll probably lose interest in the town. Besides, I love my villagers. It's just best to keep myself as Maddie.
Also i spent like an hour trying to get enough medals for club tortimer and almost cried in the procesz
I would've suggested resetting, as that's what I would personally do. But it sounds like you've decided to keep your town! I agree that a good map is a reason to keep a town. It's always so hard to get a map you really want. Although it's a shame your mayor has a name different to what you originally wanted, I hope that you still enjoy playing that town anyway
Since it sounds like you've already decided to keep your town, I'd like to add that you can always add an alt with the name/face that you originally wanted. If it's not important if that character is the mayor or not, and you just want them in your town, I think that would be a good solution.
I usually try not to keep alts in my town, however. My mayor wears the headkerchief, which covers most of the aspects of the face that I don't like. And I don't care about the name anymore. I realized that it would have been a horrible idea.
I would reset. I had a perfect town planned out like you (Achrome). But I completely had a brain fart with the name and character names. I have since then changed it and I’m copying ally of the same ideas.
