Should I try for Marshal?

Yes, I know he's been talked about way too much but I need some advice.

I've been thinking more and more that I would like to have him in my town and in order to do so I'd let O'Hare move away. The dilemma is that I like O'Hare and am quite attached to him, though admittedly quite a bit less than my other villagers. However, I'm scared of it taking ages to find Marshal and potentially having to deal with horrible streetpass/wifi move ins.

On top of that, I'm worried I won't really like him that much more than O'Hare so it might not even be worth it. I mean, I think he looks adorable and I know a lot of people love him so he must be good to have but I'm not entirely convinced.

I'd love to hear what people think

You could ask somebody to hold onto O'Hare for you, if you wanted to have both of them. Trouble is that I believe you'd have to cycle through 16 villagers to get him back (don't quote me on that, I still don't really understand cycling all that well). Marshal is a cutie, though.

Yeah that's a good idea but it would be nearly impossible to do the villager cycle since I will probably want to keep my other 9 villagers. I'm thinking of getting a second copy so maybe I can move him there but then again, I could use that copy to reset for Marshal. So many decisions haha. Thanks for the input

If you're not sure about liking enough Marshal, you can go to a town/dream town with him in and see how it goes. Though to the very end, dialogs are kinda the same by personality type (I can't remember each personality of your villagers in your sig so I don't know if you already have or had a smug before), it would be more a question of character design and other personal preferences stuff input.

That's a good idea but I don't want to get rid of any of my other villagers I wonder how long campsite resetting would take...

Depends on your luck, but I would say: freakin' long

I plot resetted for Marshal once, waaaaay in the beginning of a town. Took me the whole day but I got him.

So tempted to get the 2nd copy now... I was thinking of getting one anyway since my town is pretty well done but I'm just worried I won't use it enough.

if you have 9 villagers. and didn't build your camp yet. you can build it and the next day there will always be someone camping.
