Should I send my NEW 3DS to Tokyo to get it modified to record?

If you think its worth spending shipping money for both there and back and paying to modify it just to record some games then yes but I wouldn't I dont think I would need it after a few weeks

Do you really think you'll make all that money back with your videos?
Not all people make videos for money though. If I thought I'd have a lot of fun making these videos, I would say that's enough reason (for me) to get it modified.

However, if money is your angle and you don't already have a semi-popular channel, then this is likely to be a bad investment.

He could!
Don't be anti-positive!
You mean... negative?

Isn't there an easier way to record videos? (capture card?) I think it'd be cheaper to get that method and try to do it yourself. :0
But if you'd like to record videos, I'd do it if that was the only way. (I'm a cheapskate, so I'm going with the cheapest method.)

Getting your 3DS modified is the only way to capture video from it as far as I'm aware.

Well, aside from pointing a camera at the screen...

This is installing a capture card onto the system. The only place where you can get a capture card without having to modify the system is Nintendo. They use special equipment that's not available to the public, and no real information is available on them either. You can sometimes see them being used in gameplay videos (most notably, the videos of Aonuma playing MM3D), but only the bit that attaches to the 3DS.

Yeah, the capture card was what I was talking about. I thought it was something you could buy off of Amazon or something - I guess not.
