Well, selling it for monetary gain would still, in a way, break the Agreement you signed. Here's why.

Since you got that item from a hacker, it's already tainted. If and when you sell it, that tainted item will be passed on to someone else and they'll give you money. The 'tainted' effect sort of passes along with the bells you are given during the transaction.

You can always try Bell Laundering, but...it's really up to you =P
