Should i risk this?

Hi,
My rabbit chewed through my Routers power cable the other day and i have one which is VERY similer to it (they are both AC Adapters), it fits in the power port BUT it is 10hz more and 1 amp more than the original.
Would plugging it in etc end in my Router dying?
