Should I restart?

Hi guys. So, I want to start a fresh start for AC:NL, but don't want to at the same time. All the items and bells I worked up to will be gone as well as the dreamies I have spent millions on. Also there's the fact that AC:NL takes so long to get a good starting foundation. The town map and house placement is also really bad and it just feels like a chore to take care of my village. What should I do? Thanks.

You should keep your town, and just buy another game. Start a whole new town! That's what I did.

I felt the same way this exact week, I didn't want to restart because I had SO much stuff and flowers and all of my dreamies, that I've spent a lot of money on, also time to plot reset them into right space. But the map was so hard to work with, as well as my stupid house placement, idk what i was thinking lol xD

but i decided to re-start anyway, but what I did is that I got someone to help me and hold my stuff and two of my villagers. So that maybe could be an option for you? It takes a bit of time, but it's worth it. I got 5million bells over (to help me out in the beginning), ALL of my hybrid flowers which is a lot XD and some items ^v^

now i'm re-started and i really like the new layout, even tho i haven't gotten far at all yet.. but im just saying if you want to re-start you can find people who wants to help and hold your stuff while you reset.

@OP, take this with a grain of salt because i'm a pretty chronic resetter, but usually if i think i'm going to be bothered by my town every time i open the game, i end up resetting. sometimes you really do need a fresh start. maybe that's why the game is called "New Leaf", eh? eh? ...yea.
