So Animal Crossing New leaf is my first game in the series and i've been playing on and off sometimes taking long breaks.
I kinda want to restart since theres some things i want to do differently and some of my favorite villagers have moved out also i don't like my layout that much either and i wasn't really thinking that much when i picked it i just went with one. Also i want to change my name.

But at the same time i'm not sure if i should restart since i've gotten used to some of my villagers and it would be kinda painful having to unlock everything again like the tnt mart upgrade,my museum progress, getting all my items, club lol and stuff like that. So i was hoping you guys could help me decide.

Sure. If you're rich then that sucks.

Who are your villagers, by the way?

If you're not satisfied with your town now, time likely isn't going to fix that. It's probably best to restart before you put more effort into it. Perhaps you could TT to get back to where you are (assuming you don't TT already)?

Well if you think you'll enjoy and play the game more then I say go for it:3 I did the same thing, and now I love my new town xD Also, if there's villagers, items, bells that you want to keep there are many nice users who will hold themc:

Don't we literally have a stickied thread for this exact purpose?

Sorry did not see it if i did i would've posted there instead will make sure to check more carefully when posting next time.
Anyways i think will reset so thanks for the help deciding guys.

Well, there is nothing I love more than someone who admits their own mistakes... And Julian. always Julian.
So, on that happy note, good luck with your reset!

Of course it's up to you.. From personal experience I wasn't happy either and I reset. I love that I have heaps more land space now (too many ponds before!) and I do miss my original villagers but I'm glad I did it. Otherwise I think I would have gotten bored with AC
