I've recently been feeling very bleh towards my first town, Uranus. It has a lot of memories, but it was created when I didn't know anything about the game. The map is complete trash, and i lowkey hate everything about it except for the villagers. I'd gladly appraise (it's worth 13mil + catalog) if I wasn't so attached to my villagers.

I can easily get the villagers back who I'd miss (Bob, Melba, and Bam specifically), but I feel like I have sentimental attachments to that specific Bob, Bam, and Melba, ya feel? Melba was also one of my very first residents and has stuck around for 2 years.

I really would love a fresh start, but the thing holding me back is my villagers. I only play my second town now because I just hate my first one so much.

Help me out. What should I do?

My advice, get another cartridge on ebay or amazon, create a third town and move Bob, Melba and Bam into the new one. This way, you can choose a better map, something that suits you and you won't have to lose your much beloved neighbors. Trust me, it's not at all the same when you void them and re-add them again at a later date. They are just not the same and it makes you sad. Good luck, sweetie!

I have a second game, but the town is full! Melba and Bam never want to move. I also don't really have space for anyone else in my second town right now. :(

OH i didn't read. I don't have the money for a third game :(

I deleted my first town, though just about everyone I cared about had already left at that point. It wasn't designed with any sort of plan, the pathways were added years after its creation, and it wasn't a very good layout. Once Lolly left, I decided it would be close to impossible to fix so I rebuilt it.

Literally the only villagers left that I cared about were Pinky and Flip. It was kind of sad seeing them go, but it's worth it now that I have my current town which is superior in just about every way.

Think I'm gonna do it. Already emptied my house and got all my items, dumping them all in my second town for now. I feel weird.

I would re-design the whole town.

I'd start by chopping down all trees, and then figuring out where I want things to go.

I know from experience that once you get to this point, it's pretty much beyond repair.

She's gone folks. Sold for 17mil. Since I want to reset for villagers, as soon as I get freedom I'm just gonna dump all the bells in my second town and destroy the town again. I totally agree with you Maple, my map was too horrible to work with.

I haven't been playing for that long & I managed to get most of my dreamies, but oh god, I despise the town layout & I put down the caf? & police station in really random spots, I didn't know any better & I'm having the same problem as you, except I cant get the villagers I want easily & I don't really know if I like the idea of starting from the very beginning lmao

but I'm still planning to demolish my town & restart anyway, despite that lmfaooo ( the determination haha)
so I mean in my opinion just go for it, since you are able to get back the villagers again

You
Have
The
Bells

Now go find your friends again! Go find Bob, Melba - and please say hello to Bam!! One of my all time favorites! He was in one of my
Towns before I reset.

They?re all awesome.

Please - make sure you find a map you really really like! With perfect fruit you like!
Then your friends can live in a town you love. Good luck!!!

I bought an incredibly cheap acnl game on ebay, and I plan to use that as a cycling town, but I'm going to start over on my main town and will have the alt hold everything (I have a theme planned and everything... I'm so excited!!!) so I don't have to lose everything I care about (cash, favorite villagers, un-orderable items).

But, like you, I'm also not that sure. Maybe I'll make the game I have now the cycling town so I can keep my museum progress, badges, etc.... I really don't know!

I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there... and you will too!

You did the right thing to sold your old town. When you have a town which you start to dislike more and
more because you can't work with it anymore and it's ruin the fun for you, then it's the best to start over
with a new town. And getting back the villagers you like isn't a big problem, I'm sure you will get them
back very soon.

Wish you good luck with your new town! :)

I say that if you aren't happy with it, then get rid of it. I still have my town because not only is it my first, and I love it, but because I've worked so hard on it too. I wouldn't want to restart all my work, but if I was super unhappy with my town, I would prob get rid of it. The one thing I absolutely HATE about my town, is the pond that is right in front of the Train Station. I can't place anything there.

If you miss your villagers, I say order Bob, Melba, and Bam Amiibo cards, (Make sure you have a reader, and have found Wisp), so that you can just get them back. If your town has max villagers, you'll need a few to move out. I say do the ones you hate or just aren't interested in. I got rid of Cobb, Biff, and Deirdre, and replaced them with Dotty, Flurry, and Winnie.

Just take the time to rethink it, and if you're positive you want to, then delete your town.
