Should I restart my town?

Hi! First of all, I'm sorry if this thread doesn't belong here. I'm new to TBT Forums and I don't really know where everything goes. :3
So, I started my first ever AC:NL on 30th July. I accidentally restarted that very very special town in August last year. :( Afterwards, I lost interest every few months after coming back to the game. I made a New Year's Resolution that I *will* have a town that I'm proud of. It's nearly half way through the year, and a month until I've had this game for a year, and I still do not have a town I'm proud of.
In my current town, (which I started on June 5th), I don't TT and I'm really enjoying the villagers.
The only thing is that the house placements are absolutely horrible.
And the map is something that is ruining the game play for me.
I really want to have a really good town by 30th July and I was wondering what you guys thought?
Thank you and happy crossing! :)

Yes you should reset. I reset my town in late April and I love it. It's a lot better than my first town

the villagers are the most important to me in the game but if the map and house placements really upset you then perhaps you should reset. you can get some people to hold villagers for you in the villager trading plaza if you want to keep them

Well, since you explicitly mentioned the map, go ahead and reset it. You seriously do not seem to be happy with your town, and the features look unfixable, so yeah, I'd have someone hold your items and villagers then go for it.

If you don't like your map, I'd reset. As others have mentioned, you can get someone to hold your villagers and your items (I'd be happy to do it if you needed) so the only bad thing about it is that you'd have to wait a while to get back all your shops and stuff but it's worth it imo. If you do reset, just make sure you find a map you can stick with. :)

If you're not happy with your current town I feel that you should reset. I've done a lot of resetting but I'm finally happy with the way my current town looks. It might take a long time to get that one special village but it's worth it! :D

I remember when I reset my first town. It was a really hard decision but I was happy I had done it. I reset my town twice afterwards. I actually reseted my town yesterday haha. If you're not happy with it, reset it. It's only going to bother you more and more if you don't. If you do reset, get a good map. It doesn't matter if you start with good villagers or not, because you can always get better one later on. The sooner the better.

I'm so happy after resetting my town. I hadn't touched my game in a very long time and when I came back a lot of my villagers were gone and ones that had moved in were in the wrong place.
