Should I Reset?

Well I recently lost my dreamie, Marina as I was really busy in real life. It's going to be very difficult to go through the 16-Villager Cycle to get her back again. I don't know whether or not to reset...I could move all my bells, furniture and villagers I want to keep into my cycle town but I have put a lot of effort into my main town. What should I do?

I would keep your current town. Don't completely focus on trying to get her in, otherwise playing will seem like a chore. I would just move people out at a normal pace and focus on other things. Moving villagers and everything else over is a huge pain, as I have done it multiple times. I wouldn't reset, just try and focus on other things as well as getting her back. :)
 
Dont reset just because you lost a dreamie. keep playing, i'm sure you'll find other villagers you will like just as much.

Also, if I were to reset my town one day, what villagers should I keep and which ones should I get rid of? I want a fairytale/cute town and my current villagers are:
Pekoe, Marshal, Whitney, Lolly, Rosie, Stitches, Octavian, Ankha, Shep and Zucker (And Marina will replace one of these when I get her back). If there are any that do not match the theme, what villagers should I replace them with?

Octavion and Shep aren't very cutsie fairy tail, but that's my opinion. If youe ever wanted to reset, I could hold some of your villagers in my cycle town :)

Aww thanks that is very sweet of you! I'll consider your offer, but I would like to sleep on my decision to reset because I do not want to regret it later. Also, I was thinking of getting rid of Shep (Even though he is adorable) but I wanted to keep Octavian as I have been fortunate enough to get all three octopus villagers from the campsite XD
 
xD, yeah, shep should go, and the octopi villagers are adorable, so yeah

zucker and marina are my person favs, not too big on octavion, although he is name after augustus.

Yeah, I can't say I'm a big fan of Octavian's perpetual angry face, but still, he's pretty cool and I thought it would be awesome to have all three octopus villagers in my town XD
 
If you have another game and someone moves out. Make them move into that town and then they will remember you.
 
I honestly just reset my town for the reason you were going to. That, and I didn't like the layout or the other villagers hahaha...:rolleyes:

My dreamie was Diana, and I had her from day one. Ah well, a new adventure awaits.
Octavian honestly scares me a bit LOL! He's just so grumpy...I never wanted to keep him, ahha. I hope you'll find a good replacement for Shep. I'd offer my ideas on villagers but I wouldn't know if I was being helpful or annoying ;u;
 
Honestly, there are other octopus out there that are adorable. If you lost half of your town and you were close to finishing up your dreamie list, then maybe you should. But you just lost one. Zucker is a little cutie, if you still want to go towards the same species.

Thanks everyone for your advice! It's really hard to decide what to do...I was never 100% happy with the layout of the town, but I loved my villagers so I put up with it. But now one of my favourite villagers is gone, I don't know what to do!

I don't think so...My secondary town is full, my main town is also full, but I guess I could move someone out (Shep). Also, I would move her into my cycle town, but it has had Fauna in it not that long ago. I can't do it right now, but if I can get rid of Shep and Pekoe soon, I'd be happy to hold Fauna for you!
