So I have a problem, I really want to reset! But I want to keep my bells, and I have almost ALL of my dreamies. But I really feel like i need a fresh start. I guess I'll just give you the pros and cons of my town:

PROS

- I only have 2 dreamies to go - fang and katt
- I have worked really hard for home and obtaining items and such
-I only have one more fashion check left for Gracie

CONS

- I really would like cherries or apples instead of pears
- I hate my town layout
- I don't like my town name anymore
- no one suggests pwp

But if I reset, I would have to transfer at least Whitney, tangy, 20mil and my Unorderables. I just need some advice :/

I only reset if I have placed something wrong or I time traveled.

A town is there to work on, you can't just get a perfect town in seconds. You have to work hard and achieve your goals, so I think you should stick with the town you have got currently. Not my choice though, but it would save a lot of time. I reset recently and it took days to get 30 million bells held.

You list more cons than pros. I think you already know what you really want to do (which is to reset) but dealing with looking for holders for your dreamies, items and bells is what's holding you back. I think you should do what you truly want and reset ^^

It might be quite a bit of work to find trustworthy people to hold all those things for you but you sound pretty dissatisfied atm so maybe you need a fresh start! I know I was always resetting back in my AC GC days lol.

I almost resetted my own town on ACNL too because of the STUPID PEARS, the STUPID ROCKS and the STUPID SEPARATED BEACH but in the end realized my layout wasn't too bad after all, I could work around the rocks if I set my mind to it and I could just plant way more other fruits than pears. Still, I think the right choice for you is to reset.

Well if it were me I'd reset if I didn't like the fruit and town name anymore, you need to be happy with your town to feel motivated to play. However if you've put a lot of effort into it you may reset and find you lose the will to start over, this happened to me in WW.

If you do decide to reset I can hold all your stuff and possibly a villager in my cycle town, feel free to PM me. I've done it before for someone if you want to check my feedback, was a while ago now though.

Just remember though, animal crossing is basically a simulator of your life.

Do you really want to reset your life?

It's still just a video game though.

I restarted multiple times because I hate my layout. Have no regrets. Sure I'm getting to do things a long time after everyone else has, but it was worth it. Finally have a layout I like and couldn't be happier with how my town is shaping up.

If you're unhappy with the town or even have thoughts of resetting, my advice would be to reset. I was sitting in the same dilemma not too long ago and decided to reset. I didn't get anyone to hold my villagers because I thought of it this way: you've experience all you have in your town, so move on to a new one.

You can keep the same dreamies, of course, that's all your choice. Finding my dreamies again for me wasn't an issue. At the end of the day, I'm actually glad I reset because I got to choose a layout I liked (knowing what I know now) and all that other jazz. It's a work in progress and a new town actually gets me playing the game. And ACNL being a simulator of your life... no... lol it's a game.
