Should I reset my town? I got a good draw of villagers but the layout is odd.
I`m getting new ideas now that I have been playing ACNL for a few months.

I would totally do it, but I have done a lot of work on my town so far. (I have Super TnT, Kicks, Shampoodle, Club LOL, second floor in museum, maximum villagers, maximum bridges, high citizen satisfaction rate, and now I`m working on my cafe.) Should I reset and redo all of my hard work? There is still a lot to do in my current town, which I can do once time passes in my potential new town.

What do you think?

I say don't reset your town.

It seems to me that you have already put down a lot of work on it already. If you're bored of what you have you can speed things up by time traveling day to day and moving villagers in and out until you get the ones you're looking for. Also public work projects take time to come up as they have to be requested randomly by a specific villager in your town. I've been playing New leaf for 2 years now and I still don't have the full list of PWPs. :c My brother recently restarted his town and he got so annoyed of having to run around and get his approval rating up that he gave up.

At the end of the day it's entirely up to you c;

Sounds like your only problem is that you aren't loving your map? If everything else is good then maybe you just need to figure out how to decorate things to a way that you will love it? :) Or maybe demolish some projects so you can arrange some things differently?

I probably wouldn't delete it but of course, it is your decision.

Thanks for your input! Time travelling is definitely something I would want to do since I`m so impatient now that I know what i can do in my town.
The approval rating can be a pain in the butt but I think I can handle that! ^^
I think I`ll keep it. Thanks again!

Okay, I think I`m gonna keep it ^^
yeah, I can demolish all of my previous pwps.
I`ll try and rearrange everything, and if i`m still not satisfied i may reset cx
thanks!

instead of resetting, you should just try and rearrange everything to make it work. trust me, beautiful towns do come out of odd maps it just depends on how you make it work

@lizzy

right! usually it just takes hybrids, PWPs, bushes and a nice path to make a town a gorgeous one. You can have the best town map the game can produce, but if you don't build on it isabelle will just say "riding the so-so rails ... So average!" lol :(

I reset a little over a month ago, and already almost have my shops up to where they were before, jsut have to get miss gracie in my town!
It is worth it, because now you know exactly what you want to do, rather than going in blind

i ended up resetting my town, actually :) a year and three months later, i`m soooo much further into the game and a lot happier! now ihave my town to where my villagers are all on the south side of the river, and i have two gardens where the river veers up. north of the river is the Tree Square where I made it like a "Town Square" thing, with ReTail, the Police Station, the Cafe, and resetti all circled around the tree and cobblestone. The path winds past another garden, the campsite, and goes to the uppermost right hand corner where the town hall is nicely tucked away.

feel free to take some ideas! <3

congratulations! it always feels good to get your town the way you want it (the toughest part of it all is getting through isabelle's guilt-tripping speech when you go to reset)

also, love the SU pic (salty birb forever)

Hooray! This is good to hear :) I wish I could reset my town, I just don't think I'd be able to transfer everything over and then bck again, I've collected so much stuff. Then there's my hybrids and bells to move :( would love to change he town name, my mayors appearance and town layout. Would be so much happier with things

Well done to you for doing it :)

Though I don't necessarily like Eden's map and REALLY hate Isabelle won't allow me to put a bridge back where it was, I just don't have the engery to rebuild my town after three years of playing.

My answer to you, no don't reset unless you enjoy starting over. :)
