So, I’ve been thinking for a while I might like to switch up my island a bit, and I’ve been toying with a few ideas, so below is how my island is now, and what I want to do, and I guess what I want to know if your opinions on it, should I go ahead and do it, or leave it as it is?

My possible plan, I know the paths won’t be able to be as curvy, and I also have no idea where to put my house 😂😂

If you're already thinking about it, then clearly you aren't overly attached to the way you've got it laid out right now. I definitely recommend taking some screenshots/videos of what you have now, and then experimenting with your layout. Worst case you can look back at what you had before and undo your damage.

If I were you, I'd just start with the area you like the least and try to shape it into something more like what you want. Because I think that trying to break down the entire island and then building it up again in one go is a good way to lose motivation. Small steps! :)

So I voted 'only change a few things' becauseeee I think in Animal Crossing you're never really finished? The whole game is about decorating and changing your town so I say: always keep changing stuff! :) Especially with the new seasonal items coming up all the time.
I also think your second map looks beautiful and if you want to change it to that you should totally go for it! I think if you don't change anything at all anymore the game will slowly start to become a bit boring ~ at least that's the case for me

Umm well I’ve been thinking on it for quite a while and i hated myself for redoing everything the 2nd time but liked it in the end. I think I’ll change up the top right and left areas and enterance cause they’re the ones bugging me the most, and then go from there 😬😬

Sounds like a plan! I totally see why redoing the entire thing from scratch is a pain, that's why I voted for just change a few things! I just do small areas at a time and it's been working for me so far (y)
Do you have an island journal? Would like to see your progress!

So, I’ve made a start on changing the entrance but I’m a bit stuck, so I like having the river between able’s and nooks, but I’m not so keen on it going past resident services, cause there’s not a lot of room there to walk by. I thought about extending the two ponds from the museum, but I’m not too sure 🤔🤔

any thoughts? :)

if it's something that you've been thinking about for a while then I think you should go for it!! coming up with a map for a plan is a good start, that's what I did for my island before I did any renovating (didn't want to end up stuck because I didn't know what to do with halfway through terraforming). take it area by area, focusing on one small section and making that look how you want is going to be a lot easier and less daunting then looking at the whole island as a whole. do you have a certain theme, special areas, or specific things you want to make sure you include?? I knew I wanted to have a few things: lakes shaped like a sun and a moon, a large orchard, a bamboo forest, a park, etc. and I made sure I made the spaces around those so it all flowed and made sense (to me at least haha)

if its on your mind so much that you made a whole plan- i think its meant to be!
