she's a dreamie of mine and i love her to death but her house is in a terrible spot! i messed up plot resetting so she ended on the north side of the river rather than the south side like the rest of my villagers. i was going to make an exception and put others next to her as they moved in but it just isn't working out. my mayor's house is also on the south side so it is hard to interact with her because she rarely crosses to my side of the river. problem is that i don't know who to replace her with if i do let her go?

well, to get her back would be a long process of cycling out 16 villagers. But worth it if you really want her house placed correctly and have a decent amount of patience. Look through a list of normal villager types on the animal crossing wiki! If you're okay with letting her go, that is. There are plenty to choose from to fit the aesthetic or "look" you want. I wish you luck in this decision and with whatever it is you decide to do!

I had this exact same problem with Stitches. I was so set on getting him out after I accidentally plotted him in the top half of the map when all my villagers+mayor were on the lower half, but he was stubborn as hell. I took it as a sign (I'm not superstitious sshhh) that he should stay. I ended up transferring Fang (a dreamie as well, he fit my other town better though since Whitney was there) and plotting another villager next to Stitches. It's ultimately up to you and RNGesus though, but for me, I believe I would have regretted moving Stitches in the long run. Should you need to replace Skye, I'd suggest another wolf? I think Freya would be a good choice if you're okay with no normals. For a normal villager, since you have many deer, perhaps Fauna? Or maybe Lolly if you want another kitty c:

it's really up to you. It's hard for me to make a decision for you since it's your game and village. It depends if the villager, or the location of villager home is more important to you.

Honestly it is worth getting your town exactly how you want it, or you will always be in satisfied or frustrated. You could always replace her with Fauna who is normal, and would likely fit the theme of your villagers since you have other deer in your town. But if Skye is who you really want, going through the 16 villager cycle might be worth it even though it takes forever.

I'd say let her go for now and look for another villager to call a dreamie and replace her becausr there are over a hundred villagers there and so many are as cute~

The same thing happened to me with Mitzi. I just let her go and ended up replacing her with Chief. :3

The same thing happened with Kabuki and I ended up letting him go. But it took me FOREVER to get him back, so I don't know if I'd recommend it. At the moment Merry is my favourite villager and her house is in a terrible spot that prevents me from landscaping around my own house, but I love her to death and she's my best friend in the game now, so I wouldn't let her go for anything... I'd say keep Skye, you might regret it if you let her go.
