I've been trying to get Whitney out because I need an uchi villager to suggest some PWP's. But she has been really hard to budge (she is my 10th villager and she hasn't pinged once yet) so I thought I should move one of other residents out so it would be easier. I was thinking Cranston since I already have two lazies. However, Cranston has been in my town since day one and I have grown to be really close with him ^^

So what do you think? Should I let him go or should I let him move the next time he pings?

If you TT, I think you should leave him be and continue with Whitney for a few weeks. If only because that's who you really want out and you've already grown attached to Cranston.

thanks for the tip, I'm still thinking about it though...

With me being completely bias, I say let him move. If you need the PWP, someone needs to move.

You can make a decent profit off of Whitney and since you seem to like Cranston so much, keep him, and you get double the pros.

Thanks for the input for everyone that replied. I'll try the TT method to get Whitney out, does anyone know how this method works? I want to make sure that I will be doing it right.

There are two methods that I know of:

I've never actually used these methods yet, but from what I know they're pretty tried and true:

1. You TT ahead 2 days at a time or so and check all of your villagers and see if someone pings you or someone else mentions another moving until someone wants to move.

2. You set the 3DS clock forward about a week or two and go in--not with your mayor character--but with a NEW character and check to see if any of the villagers move out. DON'T SAVE, but 1. if the villager who left is someone you wanted, you set the 3DS clock back to the original date. 2. if the villager who left is someone you wanted to leave, then save.
