Whenever I had a ton of flowers left, I just sold them via the drop-off box outside Nook's Cranny. It's not worth for me to keep them, as most of the time, they just block me from landscaping/terraforming my island and since I'm a very impatient person, I don't wanna waste time and wait till I find someone who would come over and pick them up.
