Should I give a *heck* about my Rating if the problem is a so-called 'Traffic Hazard'?

I've had a neat little area I made into a ruined castle as a homage to where I live (if you guess you get a digital cookie) and I just added some new things to it. Now Isabelle is saying there's a Traffic Hazard. Well la-di-da, no DUH. No one's meant to go in there anyway! I ROPED IT OFF.
It's aggravating me that this sort of thing occurs. What does you lot think?

I mean, it'll lower your island evaluation score. But if you don't care about that, then I'd say keep it as it is.

Isabelle likes to bring up that there are too many trees on my island, but it's kinda part of my island's aesthetic. Especially near my haunted mansion, which is surrounded by a thick forest. I just leave it alone.

Traffic hazard? That one is new for me. I have been called out for items laying around and too many trees several times, though. Sometimes you can fix it by scoring higher with the other decorations, but I personally think that being at 5 stars is very overrated anyway.

My island was only beginning to take shape once it hit 5 stars. And once you've gotten the reward for that, there isn't a good reason to keep the rating up anyway, unless you want the jacobs ladders, I suppose.

Isabelle absolutely sucks in this game. For the first 3 months of my ACNH island all she would tell me is to cram my island full of stupid decorations. i now have 5 stars which is nice but at this point idc bc i have a plethora of jacob's ladders anyway. i may as well "litter the island" because idc anymore >:C (and apparently leaving DIY's in your house isn't too hot with the hha).

That’s absolutely AMAZING. I’d just ignore Isabelle.

And yea, unless something changes BIG-TIME on Evwirt I’m not even going to care about rare mushrooms. I think all the cool ones don’t need it anyways.

All I have to say is that once you get a good rating, if you don't care about making a mess or making it impossible to get around, that's your choice.

Good point. I recently took down a bunch of trees and for myself back into the five stars, guess it'll have to stay that way until after fall is over.

I'm pretty sure all the mushrooms show up even if you aren't 5 stars- I already TTed a bit in mushrooming season and I don't think my island was 5 stars, but I still found all of them. I think they might just show up more often if it's 5 stars.

But, honestly, unless you're still trying to get K.K. island rating doesn't make a huge, game-changing difference. I don't think it's fair to blame Isabelle, though- she's just seems to be giving us the opinions of others and going by the guidelines she has! I've never got the feeling she's determining the ratings on a whim. Don't shoot the messenger

The ratings system really annoys me. I have never got past 4 stars. She keeps saying I need to decorate my island from one end to the other. That is so unhelpful, tell me exactly where I need more stuff please. I don't like that I have to cram a bunch of crap anyway but at least if I knew where. I keep trying to figure it out but to me it seems like everywhere has plenty of stuff. I just want the gold watering can diy and a some jacobs ladders, is that really so much to ask?

Getting 5 stars just seems like more of a headache than anything, just get the golden can and do what you want!! I think it also limits creativity like the idea you seem to have!! which looks super amazing :0

I think you should just keep on doing what youre doing and ignore isabelle, girl has no taste!!

Isabelle has no taste because that looks awesome! It doesn't even look like that large of an area to be 'inaccessible' by walking so idk what she's even complaining about.

This mushroom talk has me intrigued though. Is there a guide somewhere where I can read up on the mushrooms and how town rating affects the spawn?
