Monique was a resident of my old town in Wild World and I was wondering if I should give a chance for her since I already got Caroline, Mint, Pompom, and Pierce who also lived in the same town.
Should I give a chance for Monique?

If you like Monique, then you should give her a chance!
I don't see why Monique is unpopular. I think she has quite a unique, pretty design - she's a Marilyn Monroe kitty! I would have her in my town but I prefer Olivia as a snooty cat. I would definitely give Monique a chance.

Yeah, I thought about swapping out Olivia for her but as Olivia was amazingly a starter villager I couldn't imagine my town without her, despite me having to move her in and out because of here house placement. I recommend Monique though, she looks nice 
Monique can be friendly and sort of sweet. One of my top 20 for sure, probably top 10 since she's been in my town for so long now. If you can get her easily you should have her in your town for at least a few months and relive the good ol' days.

She was one of my starters, and she's alright. While I'm not a big fan of her, I think it's good to give villagers a chance. So definitely try having Monique in town, and if she doesn't grow onto you, then let her go for someone else.

I always try to give a new villager a chance. It's how I ended up loving Pashmina and Merry so much, even if they're not overly popular. I find that a character's design can be part of what influences how you interpret their dialogue; for instance, with Smug villagers, what's cute with Julian or Marshal is downright creepy or rude coming from Chops. So yeah, give her a chance!
