I cannot fathom how I forgot to buy/play it. I know that sounds weird but just a chunk of my time must have been occupied because I never bought it. I don't even remember hearing about it... It was just there and gone.

Do you think I should buy it for story/play sake or do you think it's okay to miss this Pokemon title?

you aren't missing out on too much, basically just b/w with a few added things

I thought the B/W story was better, so I can't give that as a reason to do it.

I think if you want to see the new Gym Leaders and areas, you could try it. They also did do some cool stuff on the overworld for the story, but that was about the only impressive thing about it.
I'd say that unless you want specific Pokemon (the HA Pokemon found in Hidden Grottoes for example), then it might be worth a purchase if you're too lazy to trade for them.

i'd really only bother playing it if you can find a cheap copy somewhere. it's nothing that big that you're missing out on tbh

Well lemme just say I found Gen 5 to be the worst generation, I still enjoyed it to an extent because of the emotional story that both games hold in store for you. Otherwise I'd only recommend it if it's really cheap.

I enjoyed it more than white but if you played the first games, save money, or don't really care for the new features than don't if you don't want to. If you do get it is say go for white 2

Meh it's ok. I mainly got it due to being a crazy Pokemon fan and having this desire to play all the games (with the exception of versions ie. I played Diamond but not Platnium or Pearl). It was also of a decent price compared to the newer games at about $30 rather than $40+. I also got it after it's time had long passed. I got it Christmas 2013 so a few months after X and Y came out. Black and White 2 are like all Pokemon games a good time passer and though I liked it it's my least favourite of all the Pokemon games.

I feel like I enjoyed Black 2 more than Black for some reason. Or maybe I just had more spare time when Black 2 came out, so I got into it more. Anyway, I say go for it.

While I think it's a great game, I wouldn't bother with it really at this point. There's really nothing it can offer you that Black/White can't especially with the online down and Dream World shuttered. If you're looking for a real challenge since all other Pokemon games are essentially dumbed down, then it would be ideal.

I'd agree with this despite B2W2 being one of my favourite games... I really love the game, but I feel that because Nintendo has moved on and shut down Dream World & wifi trading from them, a lot of features I enjoyed just aren't there anymore. I still play them sometimes (on Nuzlockes and stuff), but if I wouldn't bother now that Gen VI is out.

If you want to play on a self-imposed challenge, then I would definitely recommend buying either B2 or W2 (not both). Otherwise, no, I wouldn't buy B2W2 at this stage. :(

well if you feel like black/white was not enough, bw2 will complete the piece i guess, it's a good continuation of the story. but yeah, nothing else to do apart from playing by yourself, which is still good tbh

I was never interested in dream world so maybe it would be good? Playing alone would be fine with me. I just worry that if it turns out to be the best game ever and I don't play it, I'll be missing out.

I think I'll buy it for cheap later.

I heard the rival is good. Is that true at least? The main two don't look so great tbh.

I didn't like it at all, I wasn't a fan of Gen 5 in the first place and I don't think I ever even finished it. The story and characters were forgettable and I just lost interest.

I would only buy it if you're a die-hard Gen 5 fan and you enjoyed BW1. Or if you can pick up a cheap copy somewhere.
