My old town, which I love, has been abandoned for months now, and I don't know what to do with it. Plus, I lost Beardo and Pietro, and I don't want to have to cycle back to get them. I have a ton of bells I can transfer over, and items, but I've spent a lot of time on my old game. I love Animal Crossing, and with school it would probably do me some good (Both AC and Harvest Moon are very therapeutic and good for stress relief) but I don't know...

Should I buy a new game, re-start my old one, or just give up?

Also, how hard is it to get back Kicks, Shampoodle, Club LOL, and Brewsters?

You're the only one that should make that decision, do what you want, not what others think you should.

Just restart if you lost your dreamies...
I'm going through the same thing but I have two cartridges so now I have to watch over two towns which is annoying.

Ah, in my opinion, I'd restart. Unless you really don't want to lose your old town, I wouldn't spend money on a new game.
I wouldn't say getting those buildings are hard, unless you don't TT. It could take a bit more time getting those if you don't.

But yeah, your choice. :)

My sister has a copy she doesn't use, so I guess I wouldn't have to spend money getting a new one. I think a new town would be good, since I can trade over the stuff I want from my old copy, and get new villlagers, and be able to get my dreamies.

You've likely already made your decision, but what I would say is, if you're using a physical copy, then swap your copy with your sister's. Just trade your items to your copy, then demolish your old copy, and put that one away. That way, you really don't lose anything at all.

If you're using a digital copy, let someone hold anything you have any paticular attachment to, and then pick it up after you restart your game.

I find if you're not happy and are even considering restarting, it's almost always satisfying to just do it.

I wouldn 't buy a new copy, but hey, that's just me. I think you should cycle through to get your dreamies back. It will give you a challenge in game and it will also help you meet new villagers! I've thought of buying a second copy too, but I don't think I can juggle two towns at once and would end up abandoning one. If you don't like your old one, I suggest that you take one thing away that you are not please with. I recently cut down a whole bunch of trees that were kind of blocking my view of a path. I thought I would hate it, but I am going to line the path with bushes now to make it look better than before. While cycling through villagers, you may come across different villagers that you never thought you'd like.

This is just my opinion, though. It is, of course, your own decision. If you're not happy with your town, i believe shaking things up would do you good! :D

Lol! This is an option too.

Lol! This is an option too.

She's being pretty stingy with her copy so I might just have someone hold the items I want. Thanks for your input everyone!

You can just reset the town as in clear the data... you don't have to go buy a new one to start a brand new town. ;P
