I've been wanting to make my town tidy, but I feel like it'll end up not being worth all the effort in the end. I also don't know what paths I could use, soooo.... Should I do it?

If you're looking for people to play with, check out the train station category. Anyway, you should really figure out what kind of tiles you want before you start to place them all over the town. It definitely wouldn't be worth the effort if you just jump right in without a clear idea as to what you vaguely want as an end goal. You may end up getting lucky and liking it, but chances are you might not be feeling the tile you choose (if at random)

Check out some of the tile patterns on pinterest? to get a gist of what you may want to try.

Alright, thanks!

That's what I normally do if I need some ideas. Pinterest has some great qr tiles and artists over there.

it depends! it's a lot of work, hence the fact that i only did a path with two designs rather than one with corners. of course, i don't like being able to see grass wear and i love running in my town... so i caved. i also use acnl paths a lot, super helpful.

Go with natural dirt paths. It's a nature game. Don't ruin it with fake paths. They are truly hideous.

It can definitely be worth the effort, and if you don't like the path you've chosen, you can easily switch it out for another as long as you keep the pieces in the same spots in your design inventory. There are a lot of nice ones to choose from.
You can check [here] for a bunch sorted by type. :)
