Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum, sorry if I made any mistakes or did anything to break the rules.
It seems I have encountered a bug, and a few other people have as well. The sky was clear yesterday and Celeste was on my island. Every few minutes, I hear the sound of wishing upon a star, not the twinkle of shooting stars itself. I see Celeste wishing upon the star, but I can't see the star, nor wish upon it.
For reference, I was looking up and not holding anything in my hand.
I posted a video on reddit: Has anyone here had this problem too? I have contacted nintendo support, but they were unhelpful.

I didn't think this was a bug actually. Happened to me a couple of time, but I thought it was just one of Celeste's random reactions

Hi!
I haven't seen her in a while but as far as i remember Celeste does the wishing gesture independent from seeing a shooting star or not (like other villagers go fishing or follow bugs without catching anything). So you can't use it as an indicator for shooting stars. I hope my observations are right, and therefor you don't have to worry. If you don't see and hear a shooting star, I say she is just making the gesture on her own to indicate there can be shooting stars tonight (therefor the sound).

Sometimes Celeste will appear on nights without shooting stars. When she's there she will still do her wishing animation randomly, even if there are no actual shooting stars in the sky that evening.

it happened to me too, she would make the star-eyes face as if there were shooting stars but I couldn't see them
has it been comfirmed that this is not a bug?
