shocked to sell item in re-tail

I have a few 'sloppy' pieces in re-tail for safe keeping really and put them for sale at 999,999 so I was shocked when a villager asked me if he should buy one, I said yes, so he did! usually they say they are too expensive for second hand lol

Villagers won't buy anything over 9,999. Even 10k is a stretch for them.

But if it's too cheap, then they get suspicious and won't buy either.

I can honestly say they did buy it for that amount, all my items are in re-tail for that amount and I was very shocked to sell it.

It must be because it's an unorderable item. Otherwise, I can't imagine why any villager would be willing to pay so much.

So maybe the only way it works is to have all items up at 999K.
One or two at that price wouldn't work. The villagers will go for the lower priced items first.
I'd give it a try in my main town by Lolly is on to me.
She told nicely that I was charging too much.

I have one cardboard chair, a honey bee chest, and the rest are 'sloppy' everything is up for 999,999 and I sold a sloppy so don't know about anything else.
