Shipping your villagers or even your mayor? >///<

Sometimes when I get really bored I like to pair up my villagers based on personalities and my past experiences with them.

A great example is when you hear gossip from someone or eavesdrop on a conversation. However, for the first time, I think I've shipped my mayor with a villager.

Honestly, I love crankies, and Chief is one of my favorite crankies. I just thought he was cute though. When he first moved in I sent a terrible letter to him about how I thought his house had no taste or style, and he treasures it! xD Chief is always trying to hang out, being nice to my mayor, and giving me gifts. After almost a year of living in town with me and sending sweet little letters about how much he values our friendship and the like, he sent me a valentines chocolate. Aside from Isabelle who always sends a valentine to the mayor, Chief is my only villager to send me a valentine and sweet. I thought, "That settles it! I ship my mayor and Chief so hard!". I know it's just his personality type, but it's so adorable and I couldn't help myself! I've had other crankies in past games, but they really didn't give me all the cute dialogue that Chief always uses.

Anyways, do you guys have any cute ships ion your town? ;p

No active shipping at the moment, but I did pick my original villagers in pairs. I started with Kid Cat/Lolly, Ruby/Cole, Gaston/Francine, and Marshal/Hazel. Unfortunately, I've lost a lot of my pairings due to moveouts.

I shipped Marshal x Flurry for awhile, until I let him move into my hubby's town. Ruby and Genji are kind of my OTP of Animal Crossing.

O'Hare has become the boyfriend of my mayor and Hamphrey is my chubby little love in my other town.

I used to pair my villagers like that! 2 cats, 2 wolves, and 2 deer. Most of them have moved since then though. v.v

In Bevelle Chief and Chrissy are so much a couple! They are always loitering outside each others houses, Chief told me he was outside Chrissy's house because she was scared of pitfall seeds and he was making sure no one planted them... next I found Chrissy outside Chief's house and she confessed to spying on him! Then Chief asked me to take a package to her because he was too embarrassed... it was his default shirt and she absolutely loved it and put it on straight away! Too cute!

As for my Mayor... well Marshal "flirts" all the time... but I suspect that is just his nature, hahaha

When Bettina lived in my town, I shipped her and Beau because they visited each other's houses and people talked about them. Their personalities are also similar. I even gave them a name: Beauttina!

I totally get what you mean. I also think it's strange, but I don't shy away at the thought of being weird, because I just am. However, I do it out of boredom, and just because I think it's cute. To me it's all harmless little conversations and notions that imply relationships. I don't take it seriously at all. xD

I shipped my mayor with Olaf because he seemed like a romantic hipster and was borderline flirting with me. He sent me romantic or cute letters and chocolates on Valentine's day and everything. So, I decided he was my in game boyfriend. Then, about two days after the holiday, I caught him flirting with Muffy. And not even a week later, I overheard him telling another villager that love was a game. So... well, I don't ship him with my mayor anymore. Bruh a player.

But I'm shipping characters I've never even had before, and giving them all cute back stories.

It just makes me think of...gross illegal things so I feel weird even thinking about shipping anything.

Back when Agnes was in town, I would ship her with Antonio. She would always say a lot of things to him that implied that she had a crush on him, but Antonio being the dork that he is, didn't understand anything that Agnes said. It was both hilarious and adorable to watch.

Honestly, I could never why crushing over anthropomorphic animals is that much of a bad thing. Yes, they're animals, but here's the thing -- they have the mindset of a human. They can tell whether stuff is right or wrong, they can speak out things and they do things that humans do like wear clothes and play games. If these animals (smug villagers especially) flirt with humans, then why can't humans do the same? It's not like those sort of people who crush over animals want to do that sort of stuff with them all the time.

But hey, that's a completely different subject, and one that I don't really like to like to associate it with ACNL.

I personally don't ship my mayor with anyone, but the idea of shipping is harmless fun honestly. Unless you're writing NC-17 fanfics about animals and yourself, I think its okay. Plus, Zell and Beau and cute together in my town so I ship it haha.

I ship my side character Belle with Chief! Belle is really cute and girly, Chief always invites her over and send nice letters to her and she does the same to him ;v; i find it so cute ;uuuu; I also ship my mayor with Beau!

I like to ship Rudy and Merry. I love mixing peppy and jock villagers because it reminds me of the typical high school cheerleader and football player couple. Also, recently I've looked at Ankha and Tom as a couple, cranky's and snootie's go well togehter I can just imagine them being that old couple that argues all the time. I've never shipped my mayor with anyone though O'Hare tries hard to win me over, although I've seen Cherry at his house a few times. It's fun to do that, it adds a whole new story to the game that goes the way you want it.
