Been meaning for a slightly more challenging shiny hunt in ScarVio (that doesn't involve hatching eggs)!! So I went to do a shiny Ditto hunt. :]
...well it went quicker than expected! 20 mins into the shiny normal sandwich and I found 'em c: The blue guy was disguising as a regular Tandemaus tsk tsk.
Next shiny challenge hunt is gonna be Zorua.

Our latest shiny hunting target was Lunala, from Shield Dynamax Adventures (ugh). It took us nearly two weeks to find it, but at long last, we finally caught our beautiful shiny bat (in a moon ball, as well!) Getting to see it out of its ball in Violet definitely helps to make the long search feel worth it!
just started an Umbreon hunt and I gasped upon seeing this beauty…. I thought it would take me forever to get a shiny female Umbreon (just like how i encountered 13 shiny male Popplios before finally finding a shiny female Popplio, rip), but I somehow got first try luck and found her right away!! I haven’t maximized the outbreak odds yet so this counts as one of my luckier shiny hunts, coming to a 1/8192 chance 
also i think this is my first female shiny eeveelution! i checked all my other shiny eeveelutions and they were all male, lol.
also I just noticed my shiny ditto had a mark!! i crunched the numbers real quick & apparently this ditto is a little rarer than the shiny umbreon, going for about 1/8537 chance (if i did the math right). lol sorry for the math i just love seeing the numbers on these rarer shinies

I wanted to have a shiny Hatenna as a partner pokemon for my first SwSh playthrough, so even though I kinda dont like the Masuda method, I wanted to power through to get a lvl 1 shiny Hatenna. and she came home after only 167 eggs!️
i then transferred her to my relatively new game in SwSh. we are gonna power through the region together!
Named her Cinnaminin (Cinna for short) because of a vid i saw this morning. it was so funny and cute she is now level 12!! baby is moving up the ranks!
also forgot to mention, Cinna is the daughter of my first shiny Hatenna (now a Hatterene) named Celeste Celeste was my partner pokemon in ScarVio, especially in the DLCs! she carried me throughout Blueberry Academy (the ol' reliable Hatterene Trick Room) c:

Some of my favorite shinies I've ever gotten:
Pokemon Silver, aprox. 2023- Odds: 1/8192. The Johto games are known for a long period with lots of grass before Pokeballs. My literal first encounter after getting Pokeballs was a shiny Sentret. I loved her so much. Since it wasn't a VC game, I can't bring her into newer games, and I sold that cartridge... rip Pinky, I still love her.
Pokemon Platinum, October 2019- I decided to take on a hunt that some shiny hunters call 'cursed'- Giratina. Odds: 1/8192. Encounters: 49. No, I'm not joking. I was prepared to spend the whole month hunting for it, but I found it super fast. However, I didn't keep track of it's PP. The way my heart stopped when I saw 'Giratina used Struggle!'... It must've had 1 hp or something, I couldn't see any of the red bar left. That's when I stopped messing around and just chucked the Master Ball.
Pokemon Alpha Sapphire- February 2020- a hunt I started in HeartGold in 2016 came to an end with shiny Shinx. Odds: 1/512. Yes, it took 4 years with odds that great. Shiny Charm + Gen 6 + Masuda Method = 4 years somehow. Don't ask me.
And my ongoing longest hunt ever... Alpha Sapphire. Start Date: March 17th, 2015. For St. Patrick's Day, I decided to horde hunt [with shiny charm] Bagon in Meteor Falls. 5% Bagon, 95% Zubat. I knew I'd phase a few times, so each phase is named after what phase they were. I have 1, 2, 3, so on up to 17. Yes. 17 phases. 17 shiny Zubat. It's a good thing I like Zubat, because this is getting real dumb.
At this point, it's a matter of pride. I have to get Bagon this way. Not in Alola with SOS, it has to be in ORAS with 5% chance in horde encounters.
Arceus has forsaken me.
I have to get it by myself though, it's a matter of pride, sunk cost fallacy, call it what you will.
