Wow, I'm not sure if I'm making quite a decision here. However, I shall see how this goes.

Over the past few days, I've seen that some people have been asking around for contributions to their collection of Bells. However, some people do not wish to support these members because they aren't really siginificant and we all assume they came for one reason, to ask for items and Bells. Unfortunately, that seems a bit rude in my opinion and I really wish I could do something. Ergo, I have started this small little thing.

Face it, we all need Bells? Whether we ate all our Turnips after having used all the money we had or simply starting out in the game, we all need Bells. Whatever your reason is, this is the solution.

What basically this small program does is lend small amounts of money to people who need them. Note that I used the term 'lend' which means that you'll eventually have to pay the 'loan' back. If you choose to run off with the money, you will be banned from this program and your name will be listed in the Hall of Infamy/Shame.

Is this a scam?
This is in no way, shape, or form a scam. I'm lending the money out of my own pockets so there really isn't any possible way this is a scam.

What about the other way around?
I thought of that when Dr. Keko made his post. Since there is a possible way of people running off with the money that was loaned to them, certain rules and prerequisites will have to be met before a loan is approved. Those prerequisites and rules will be produced in the future.

How much can I borrow?
That my friend, depends on the Rank and Reputation you hold around here on The Bell Tree. If you're only a newbie to the Forum prepare to be given a low Borrow Amount. You also have the higher chance of being DENIED if you're fairly new to the community and don't have a good reputation in this section. (I.E. Selling items, Buying Items, Trading Items)

Do I have to pay the loan back?
Yes

How much time do I have to pay the loan back?
That depends on how much you borrowed, what your rank is, and what your reputation around here is.

What will happen if I don't pay the loan back by the time it's due?
Your name will be written in red on the list, your Borrowing Permissions will be suspended until the Loan is paid back. If you are however, able to pay the Loan back eventually, you'll be put on a One Week waiting period before you can apply for another loan.

How will you loan the money?
First, you will PM me applying for a loan. I will set up a proper form in the future. Then, I will put your name on the list and how much you've applied for. After that, I will travel to your town and lend you the money. I will then post in here that you have received your Loan. (Perjury will not go without consequences.)

Where do you get the money from?
Like everyone else, doing stuff. Selling turnips, selling fruits, selling unnecessary items, auctioning items off, and fishing. In addition to those methods, there are some sponsors/donors. However, at this time, I will not be accepting Donations/Sponsorships. I need to see how this service goes out for a while.

<big>Rules & Prerequisites</big>

In order to apply for any amount or any type of loan here, you will be required to accept and agree to these rules as written. Failure to comply with these rules and prerequisites will result in immediate denial of your application and may or may not exclude you from future involvement with the program.

Rule 1
Fill out a form. I'll have this form built and ready in no-time. Until then, no one can apply for loan.

Rule 2
Pay your loan back. Pay it back and on time. Otherwise there will be consequences.

Rule 3
Use this service wisely. Don't apply for a loan if you know you can't pay it back. Don't apply for a loan if you're not the most trustworthy person in the world. Be smart about using this service.

Rule 4
Do not lie. If you are given a loan, post in here saying you've received the money. If you've paid ( a portion) your loan back, post it in here saying when and how much you paid back.

Rule 5
Use the Bells wisely. This is pretty self-explanatory. If you apply for the loan to buy a useless item, don't even bother applying.

Please note that this F.A.Q. and Rules post can and will undergo changes if and when necessary. All participants of this program will be required to view the new content and see to it that they are followed immediately.
