Marshal is my town's art dealer & most of the ones he sells me are fakes. But since my museum art is full it really doesn't bother me much... I would like the bells back though, Marshal... >_> I thought we were friends.

Every time Flo has tried to sell me a painting and I've bought it, it turned out to be real. There was only one time when it was fake. She even sold me the same painting twice, I don't know which, but it is always real and I said no both times but she said it was fake and she gave it to me. I was like what? But I put it at home and it was real, lol. And then I sold it because I had no use for that.

Chadder sold me so many fake paintings in Noveon that I stopped counting. Only once did one of them turn out to be legit...

I've only ever gotten one fake painting from a villager. Muffy and Hamphrey are the ones in my town to sell and they're usually pretty good. ^^

I know, right? LOL. I was very confused because I knew that painting is ALWAYS real, but then she said it was fake and I was like "that can't be possible, Flo."

sylvia sometimes gives me paintings. only 1 was fake. up till then i thought uchi villagers only gave you genuine paintings. i was so excited to finally have a jolly painting, too...

if it helps, the perfect painting, nice painting, common painting, flowery painting, warm painting, fine painting, proper painting, worthy painting, calm painting, moody painting and scenic painting are always genuine. it's a surprisingly long list.

Thanks for that! Will definitely keep that in mind when purchasing paintings from villagers.
