Sending complete furniture sets to villagers?

Tia's house is getting pretty empty and I was wondering if I sent her a complete furnitre set if she'd actually use them in her house?

She would put certain pieces of it in her house, and sometimes you can send a villager something as many times as you want and they won't put it in their house because they have furniture that they won't get rid of for a while. Like a couple of my villagers that I've had since June 9, 2013 have no original furniture, but it's taken them until now to get rid of certain pieces of their furniture. If you sent the pieces she didn't use over and over, then she would eventually use it all in her house, I'm guessing. I've never tried that, so I can't tell you for sure.

I did try it and doesn't work so well...not as I expect. I sent Roald a full set of kiddie set since his house wallpaper are so kiddie, he only use like 3 pieace out of 11...and even try to find replacement later!! (Throw your balloon bed already!!) and I also try to send/give Nibbles fruit furniture but she rather get rid of the pineapple bed than the common bed...kinda annoying actually!

When they invite you over to your house, always try to buy the stuff you don't want them to keep, keep sending the stuff you want them to keep, and repeat! ^^

I ended up sending her some of the blue furniture and she put most of it in her home it actually looks really cute ill post a picture soon!

flora used to hold on to her lamp but i gave her something to replace it to put on top of her table and then she gave me the stained glass lamp, which i really wanted because it made my sleek style room look very blue.
i like mailing villagers letters but it could either make the house look wonderful or mess it up. for example, i gave pietro a colorful wheel and i wanted him to put it in his original spot(it's his original furniture.) instead he put it facing the wall

You'll have the best success doing it one piece a day. And, I like to wrap them. It worked with Lolly, but it hasn't with everyone else. I sent Flora one of her original items, and she put it up, but in a different place than original.

I tried to make them wear the clothes I sent them but they decided to display them in their house...

According to a guide here, the best way to get them to wear the clothes you want is to send five different letters at the same time with five different copies of the clothes. They should wear one and display only one. You can then remove it when they invite you over. It hasn't always worked for me, though.

I'll totally try this with marshal! He's been pissing me off I've sent him over 20 denim shirts and he's always displaying them. He's annoyed me to the point of him asking me to leave and me allowing him to. Luckily he said he thought we weren't friends enough for him to be able to leave

It might work. You can try more than five if you want. I sent . . . somebody, don't remember . . . eight shirts, and they wore one! And, they only display one of the others, so it's not too bad.

I tried doing this with Rosie but it failed so badly. She put up 4 items out of about 15 and it looks a mess as she still refuses to get rid of the massive fishtank in the middle of her room that the previous person owned .-. Going into her house is kind of depressing.
