Sell or keep turnips?

I know, I know we can't answer this question reliably without the previous turnip prices. The thing is, my husband didn't check them earlier this week and his price is currently 290 per turnips (tuesday afternoon).

It seems a little early for the top of a spike pattern. I don't know if that would be a small or a big spike. Can anyone who knows turnip prices better than me let me know what I should tell him?

You can probably do better if you sell them at someone else's town, but if you don't want to do that or don't think you'll find a good price in time, then I'd sell now because it is more likely to drop than continue rising.

Thank you very much for taking the time to give me your opinion ^_^ That's also what I thought, but I don't have much experience with turnips.

I'll let him know, since be doesn't have time to visit other towns (except mine) he'll be glad to sell them now.
