I've done a few virtual secret santas before and I miss doing them, so I thought I'd host my own on animal crossing! I'm not sure if this is the right forum to put this in so I'm sorry if there's anything I'm doing wrong.
How it will work:
1. Either post in this forum or DM me if you're interested in joining.
2. Once you request to join I will DM you a small questionnaire just to see who I should pair you with. I will try to pair people with similar interests, aesthetics, and timezones. I will also ask whether or not you're a minor to avoid pairing adults with teens. This is just for safety because I know some teens are uncomfortable with messaging privately with adults. I will do my best to pair you with someone in your age group, and if you're a minor being paired with an adult I will always tell you beforehand and ask whether you're comfortable with it or not.
3. I will then begin pairing people. Keep in mind that I will be giving everyone some information on the people they're being a secret santa for. This information includes your name/alias, pronouns, a link to the person's profile, interests, aesthetics, and wishlists. This information does NOT include age (unless you're a minor being paired with an adult) and timezone. If you wish to disclose this information you can do so on your own terms.
4. That's where my role in this ends. Once I give you the person you're being a secret santa for I will no longer contact you unless there are any questions or concerns. It's your responsibility to contact the person you were assigned to give them their gift.
5. If you don't receive a message from your secret santa by the 25th then let me know and I will ask them if they're still participating. If there are any problems with either your secret santa or the person you're being a secret santa for then let me know. Keep in mind that I'm not a mod so I can't handle anything that goes against the rules of the forum, that's your responsibility to report.
If you want to remove yourself from the secret santa let me know asap. When I DM you for the first time I will also ask you for the code to make sure you read everything. The code is orange juice. Thank you for reading and if you have any questions let me know!
