Second Town Name Opinions?

I'm still very much in the process of working on my main town, Everleaf, but I bought a second copy of the game a long time ago and it's been sitting idle for a while. I was using it to cycle, but I've always intended to turn it into a lovely town of its own once I was finished getting my dreamies for Everleaf- which I finally have! It probably seems a bit much to begin planning a second town while working on one, but it's super relaxing and therapeutic for me, so I've been thinking about it a lot lately n_n !

I'm a bit torn between some names, though, and I love hearing the opinions of others- especially from the creative ACNL community~! (I would have made this a poll if I could figure out how u_u )

Names:

Fernweh (German) - I believe it translates to something like, a yearning to see distant places. I read a definition/interpretation that referred to it as "a homesickness for a place you've never been," and I thought that was beautiful for a town name.

Teapot - Because I love tea xD

Th?i?re (French) - Teapot, but with a different look/feel.

Teiera (Italian) - Teapot, with same reasoning.

Cafun? (Brazilian Portuguese) - "Tenderly running one's fingers through someone's hair." I think this is such a pretty word.

G?katta (Swedish) - "Waking up early to go outside and listen to the birds sing."

I think all of these words are beautiful and would make cute or interesting town names, so if you like any of them and need a name feel free to use them n_n

Initially I wasn't planning on following a theme, since Everleaf has a mystical forest theme going, but the more I think about these name options the more I'm leaning towards making a theme. I'm not entirely sure what I'd do that doesn't fall under another forest type theme, though. Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books, so if I went with Teapot or one of it's variants, that would make a really cute theme (I realize it's been done to the moon and back, but still!) Or it could just be themed around a tea-party (mad tea-party maybe). Fernweh would also make a cute Wonderland theme, though I think it'd also be a nice structured dreamy town with no specific theme as well. I'm not sure, but I'd love any thoughts c:

Fernweh and Teapot are the ones I like best. Fernweh as a word looks neat and Teapot is such a cute name. Teapot would work really well for an Alice theme but it would also work for a general town. Fernweh doesn't fit any themes in particular (in my opinion) but isn't incompatible with them either.

I've looked up the word G?katta to check if it was a verb or what but I can't find anything about it in dictionary sites, I just get hits like pinterest. If you decide to choose it, make sure that it really exists and means that, maybe someone who knows Swedish can confirm it.

I don't like the other names as much.

I don't know if this matters to you but if you choose names with diacritics, expect lots of people to mispell them and mispronounce them.

Fernweh and Teapot are my favorites, too n_n I think with Fernweh, the name sort of fits the "I wish I could live in this town/I'm homesick for a little town I can never physically visit", which in retrospect sounds kind of silly. Cafune, Gokatta, and Fernweh all are actual words, but you can't find them in dictionaries, because they have no English translation/equivalent. That's another reason I picked them.

And thank you for offering your opinion! I think I'm definitely leaning towards Fernweh or Teapot, but I love them both so much it's so hard to choose ;;

I know that Cafun? and Fernweh are actual words I know they wouldn't be in an English dictionary since they aren't English words to begin with. However, I'm guessing that if I searched for them they would pop up in dictionary sites like a Portuguese-English or German-English dictionary. G?katta shows up on like 10 sites, one of which is this thread. Then there are some in Turkish that spell it separately. The only ones that have that exact word and its meaning are on tumblr and pinterest and that's not the most reliable source. Of course, even if it doesn't exist you could still choose it if you think that it sounds nice but I personally wouldn't.

Are you really sure about making it themed? I like Fernweh better but I'd pick Teapot since it would work well both with an Alice theme or with a general town.

The definition of Fernweh can be said to be the opposite of being homesick. It's wanting to badly go on a vacation again, to either a place you have been before or a totally new place. Just something that is far away from home.

So in that sense, it really is a cute name for an Animal Crossing town, seeing as it is a place you visit that isn't your true home.

I'm really not sure about making it themed I might end up with Fernweh so I can just make it a cute little town with no particular theme. I think if I made a specific theme like that, I'd end up getting tired of it or something.

Tee-air, is how it's pronounced, and it really does roll off the tongue beautifully!

I'm starting to really lean towards Teirera and Th?i?re, just because they do roll so beautifully when said!
