Would it be worth it to get a second copy of NL? I have so many villagers that I love & I think it would be nice to have a cycling town to help other people.

I have no idea when I would be getting it either. By the time I do people probably won't even be playing NL anymore.
I've got the money right now but I'm trying to save it (my money never lasts long) & my mom would probably question my sanity

So tell me, is it nice having multiple copies of the game or not really worth it? Provide stories & explanations if you will

As someone who got three copies of this game, I'd say get two at a maximum, and only if you are really sure that you are going to use them both. Tbh, I wouldn't get one if you were planning to exclusively cycle on it.

I have two but i'm thinking of returning it because i personally have trouble keeping up with two towns. The only reason i bought it was to have a few more dreamies but i reset and ended up moving the ones that i wanted over to my new main town so now i really don't need it. I say go for it though

I have three towns and find it fairly easy to manage, but I'm only keeping my main one up-to-par. One of my alts is for cycling and the other I am planning on making all snazzy, but not until I get all the PWP requests and such. So, for those purposes, it's not difficult. If I don't think I'll get around to opening one of my other towns for a while, I just make sure to deny a move before I quit, and then I don't have to worry.

I got a second copy yesterday and here's why:

I've come to realize that my town map on my original town well...sucks, to put it mildly and doesn't work well for doing most PWPs, but I LOVE my villagers, so I couldn't bring myself to reset my town. So right now, I'm planning to get my villagers moved into my new town from my original and use it as a holding place for my items, moneys, hybrids, ect.

Once I get everything set up the way I want, then I'm gonna let my boyfriend use my old copy to do the same thing with his town.

And yes, I fully realize I'm insane.

Because it's hard to have equal time on two towns especially when you have to build up a whole new town. I only have one 3ds xl so i found it really hard :P

keep in mind i'm a student athlete and during my season i have up to 3 hours of swimming (one at 5 am and 2 after school) and an hour of yoga/running a day along with homework so i don't have much time to play two towns

I have multiple towns. I refuse to admit how many :)

I work full time, so have limited playing time. I'll play in one town one day and in one of the others on another day. I keep track of the last date/time played for each town and just continue on to the next day whenever I play. Some towns are more complete than others, so they see less playing time as I concentrate on the ones with more work to be done.

It is really fun having 2 copies... you just have to manage your time. I think it would be so nice of you to help out others! <3

Personally I'd have a hard time keeping up with two towns. I'd probably stop playing the first and work on the second exclusively. But sometimes I think it would be nice to have another, to plot reset for that perfect map, get all of the villagers that I want but can't fit into my town, and maybe do a theme or something.

So I can see the temptation, I just always decide against it because I think it would be too much and one would never get played.

Also, if you do get another copy I would recommend waiting until a good sale pops up (unless you want a digital copy). I remember on Black Friday Target or Wal-Mart or somewhere had NL for $20. That was probably when I was the most tempted, haha. They even had it in stock when I went I was like hrghh ;-;

I was really tempted to get the digital copy for $20 but I didn't have any money then and now that I do the price has gone back up again >.<

Even if I'm one of the many TBT users who have multiple copies of the game, I don't think it's worth having more than one copy of the same game for an average gamer.

You think it's worth forking down $35 just to get the same game you already own despite having a fresh save data to work with? If you weren't concerned on getting particular villagers quite fast, nor having a different town, then it's definitely not worth the investment and potentially monumental hassle. Instead, you could spend that much of money towards another 3DS game you might end up liking.

I did exactly what you're describing. So long as you believe you can keep up with both it's really not problematic. I like my second town a lot even though it's a WIP atm. It gives you an opportunity to get some new faces which can be refreshing. I cycled for a while to help other people get their dreamies. I gave them out for free because a lot of cyclers have weird rules or still sell villagers for a bunch of bells, and I just wanted people to have them without having to fight for them. But after a while cycling became tedious because I'm in school, so I finished out and restarted and made another regular town and I check both everyday faithfully.

I always give away my villagers for free also. I can't place a value on a living creature :p teehee.

I also think it's important for me to be kind to people since I've had so much help from everyone around here; it's the least I could do.

^ This. The most I'd ask for is to keep me in mind if they have one of my dreamies and they don't want them.
