I don't know if anyone's talked about this before, but in case they haven't, the search functionality isn't working like it used to. For example, if I searched "Fireleaf" (my town's name) on TBT 2.0, it would give roughly 10 pages worth of posts where I mention that town. Now it only gives me 1 page. I assume those posts still exist somewhere, so I have no idea why the search function isn't giving them to me. If I search for a word, I prefer to see every time that word is used so I can actually find what I'm looking for. Is this a problem with Xenforo itself?
Yeah that's been broken for a while :/
My guess is that somehow, the search hasn't acknowledged the whole database properly, since it seems to work well with messages from after 3.0…
I encountered something along the same lines yesterday; I was looking for a town tune that I requested a few years back that hadn't ended up going to use in my New Leaf towns, but that I thought would fit my New Horizons island. I put in a few different keywords and nothing really worked until I searched in the exact board the thread was in (New Leaf, in my case). I didn't end up finding the exact posts I had in mind with this method, instead finding the thread and then just digging through it until I came across what I was looking for.
No pressure to the staff though. I'm not familiar with the behind the scenes stuff with forum software, but I would guess it's none too simple. Especially with other stuff, like the day/night cycle, on the docket. Hopefully it can be remedied in the future.
