Hi, I was just playing ACNL when the game said on the title screen that StreetPass data was not found or something like that and asked me to create data. Then it said there was there was no SD card in the system, which there was. The game pretty much played as normal but going to the home screen, all the games I had on my SD disappeared. After reinserting it some times, they came back and everything seems normal now. Has something like this every happened to any of you and what does this mean?

Yes this happened a few times on my 3ds xl and I think it honestly happened when I had dropped it too hard. It would almost kinda knock it out just enough to make it unreadable. It was such a pain to have to screw off the backing and reinsert it till it worked. At some point, my back panel had cracked from taking it off so many times and screwing it back in that I had to resort to gluing it in place, and praying it would never happen again lol. I have a 2ds xl now and I find it more convenient that the sd card is next to the game cartridge port and have an attached dust port cover flap thing. So far I haven't had that problem but I honestly have been a little more careful with not dropping my 2ds lol.

About the Streetpass thing, I remember that this message pops up when you put your game into
another DS that doesn't have any AC data saved on it. Like if you activate Streetpass for example
in your game, both the game and the DS registered this and data gets saved. However, if you use
another DS to play or the data got deleted, the game can't find the data and the message shows
up.

As for the SD card, I can't tell what happened here, as I never had such a problem with my SD
card before.

Oh yeah that happened to me once or twice. I think I was moving/traveling with my 3DS in a box and when I finally decided to play it (months after actually moving in) it kept showing no games on my home screen and saying no SD card was available. It only worked after I hit it a few times, maybe clicking whatever was misplaced back into place. I made a thread about my experience here. I came to the conclusion that my 3DS was just old and got knocked around for it to misread my SD card. Of course, it's not advisable to hit your 3DS every time it happens haaa so I've been trying to be really careful to keep it in a good condition, since it's already reallyyy old now (release model). If you have an old 3DS and are thinking of getting a new one (if worse comes to worst), someone in that thread posted a way to transfer your digital town to a cartridge.
