Day 226. Man, I have a lot to talk about today. You know, my friend said that blogging can be a good way to relieve stress, so maybe this will help me get my mind off of stuff. Speaking of friend, I have some credit to give out. Ashwee and Corny<3 (Court) here have done a buttload to help me. They've gone back into my Skype history (Court more than Ash) and helped me catch up. So thanks to them before I forget
Moving on, today was insane. It was my first full day of school (early outs the past two) and, though it went quickly and smoothly, the homework kept piling on... And on.. And on. Now, usually, I'm used to 10 minute homework at the first week of school. Highschool, no... Way. I started at 7:00, give or take, and am not even finished now. Course, I procrastinated a bit, but meh. I've learned NOT to underestimate high school haha. So, besides school today, I had a drum lesson with my teacher and a student teacher. The student teacher goes to a nearby college that's short drummers... And, I'm a drummer! So, he asked me if I could, well, join the college's band as a percussionist! And, he also asked if I'd like to join the school's drumline. Of course I'm saying yes to both, but this will really destroy my social life. Along with practicing these, I have lessons ever Monday from 7-8:30 a half hour away for drumline, and the college band practices about 3-3:50 each day (3-4:50 on Thursdays). I obviously can't make it, because it's a half hour away and I have school, so I think I'm gonna go weekly or biweekly or something and just work on the music outside of school with the student teacher. So obviously, I'm excited for both of these opportunities, but here will be my schedule once school gets going a bit more.
Monday - Drum lessons 6-6:30, Drumline practice 7-8:30
Tuesday - Piano lessons 4:15-5:00ish, band practice 7-8:00
Wednesday - Church service every other week at least (I'll explain this another day) I dunno exactly when, but it's about an hour, confirmation class for two hours or so (again, can't quite remember times) So three-four hours out Wednesday
Thursday - Most weeks college band practice 3-4:50 (half hour away, I have to leave school early and miss science class, which will make it harder to keep up)
Friday - Usually free, but our band plays at home football games Friday nights
So yeah, as you can tell, mix this with homework and other stress and I'm gonna be insanely, well, stressed coming soon. Not to mention I'm a procrastinator anyway and I need to practice more. Plus, I have my wedding I'm playing at coming soon, allstate auditions, the fall play at our school, it's just too much... Well, thanks for listening to me, I gotta admit I feel a bit better now. Hopefully I'll find a routine and manage my stress somehow. Wish me luck, and seeya tomorrow!
Question of the day: How can I juggle all I have to do and still remain sane?
