How rare are scorpions on your home island ?

I've yet to see one, but at the same time I rarely play gone 10pm these days.
Quarantine is really starting to get to me and come 9:30 I'm normally asleep or with my nose buried in a book rather than playing AC, so I'm sure they are running rampant and terrorising all the other residents while I'm gone.

I've watched my villagers staring at the scorpions while they chase me around LOL
i've only ran into two scorpions so far but I don't stay up playing, i usually stop playing at like 8pm lol

I actually have only seen them a few times on May 1 and 2, and then have not seen them since...

I haven't run into one yet and I do try to play at around 11pm (if I'm still awake at the time).

I've only seen one so far! It was crawling around my plaza and had my villagers shook, lol

I've ran into two scorpions on my island around 10 pm.

I actually used the tarantula Mystery Tour trick in order to spawn some scorpions. The spawn rate was about as bad as they were with tarantulas ever since giant water bugs have shown up but I did manage to get four of them.

I haven't run into any on my island yet. I've used the old trick of creating a scorpion/tarantula island on a mystery island. While the spawn rate is much much lower, I was at least able to run into a couple using this method and caught one for my museum.

What is the scorpion/tarantula island trick ?

cutting down all of the trees, picking all of the flowers, and destroying all of the rocks in order to limit the locations that bugs could possibly spawn. It increases the chance of ground type bugs to spawn instead (tarantula, scorpion, tiger beetle, mole crickets)

Yesterday I tried doing the island tour trick but didn't get anything but water bugs and tiger beetles to spawn for 2 hours. The minute I came back to my island there was one on my plaza, greeting me.

If the island tour trick doesn't work out for you, another method you can try is leaving a building surrounded by flat empty space until one spawns right outside.

Ive heard the scorpion and tarantula spawn rates were nerfed too

i haven't seen one yet. of course, i haven't been playing a TON around that time, but at the same time I feel that I should have seen one by now... I just want to complete my "it can hurt me!!" bug collection, nintendo!!

huh? like i meant my collection of bugs that can hurt me i.e. wasp, tarantula, and scorpion since they can all mess with you/make you pass out

i haven't seen any since this may, so i'm eagerly waiting for them to show up. i want 4 of 'em : one for the museum, the other 3 for flick to make into a life-sized figure.

I think I've run into 4 of them on my island, I've caught 2 of them. Donated the first one and I kept the other one so I can get a scorpion figure from Flick!
