Scorpions And The Beach

For those of you who have played awhile, do scorpions go to the beach? I found out the other day that tarantulas do. One was sitting at the bottom of the ramp blocking my wayto go back up and I did not have my net so I just saved and continued. That got me to wondering about the scorpions.

I don't know about spawning, but I've definitely scared my fair share of scorpions off the cliff and onto the beach.
