I don't know if its been posted anywhere else but does anyone know an easy way to catch a scorpion? Every time I try I always end up being stung >_<

Listen carefully for the sound of skittering and hissing. It's a good sign that a scorpion is close by, then very carefully find out where it is and walk up to it and try and catch it. If you find yourself being chased by the scorpion, run to the plaza and run around the town tree until you can get enough distance and then attempt to catch it.

If you hold down A the scorpion will hiss at you but it won't bite you. :)

I find they don't attack me while I have my net out if I'm just walking, but when you start running they want to attack.

Try sneaking up behind one while holding the A button and it will turn around to face you but it won't attack you and it's really easy that way as long as you see it first!

I need to try some of these tips. I got stung three times last night trying to catch one. And the only tarantula I saw ran into the river before I could get close enough. :(

The tail will start moving if its going to attack you, so when it is just hold a and stop moving

Don't be too patient; like any insect, they will actually leap into the river. Good luck!

I got stung by ANOTHER scorpion last night. I caught another tarantula no problem but scorpions seemed hell-bent on coming after me. One jumped out of a tree!! Scared me to death ; - ; But yeah holding down A almost worked for me at one point until it jumped into a nearby river ">______>

In this game I haven't been stung once, but I have only caught a scorpion twice. If you waittoo long they disappear. Anyway, I find that if I go up to them slowly, net out, holding A for the sneakiness, and if they are facing you, don't attack unless you are sure you have got a lock on them. It will turn around and face the other way before it starts moving again, that is when you want to hit it. My trouble is they always get behind a tree where I can't see them and I wait for them to come out and sometimes that is too long and they are gone. The second time I caught one was funny because as soon as I came out of my house it was sitting there. It didn't even see me coming haha.

i was just walking around my town and i saw it and i was like holy crap and i backed away, got my net and just ran for it. not much skill lol.

Oh I have found it really hard to catch. But I had no idea you could hold down A with the net out and stuff, will have to try that out!
