No, the PLAY ME tapes are tapes of Jigsaw (the "killer") telling his victims why he chose them. For instance, on from the movie is something along the lines of "Hello John. You are a typical 46 year old male. Yet a few days ago you ran a razor across your wrist. Is it because you really wanted to kill yourself, or did you just want attention. Now you must choose to either live or die" and he proceeds to play the "game" where he must do gruesome tasks in order to live. The moral is that you should appreciate your life while you have one. Apparently the Jigsaw dude has some disease where he's gonna die and wants to show people not to take life for granted. Errr somethin...
