Saving villagers from the void

Jeremiah left my town last tuesday and I couldn't find an adopter, but I know if someone visits my town there's still a chance he moves to his/her town, but how many days I got to do so? is there a way to ensure he will move?

The first person you go to they should get them if you havent wified with anyone and they have space
Freya moved out my town Dec 2nd.. without me knowing ;__; i didnt wifi with anyone until mid January which was my mum, and she turned up there

There might be a chance he wouldn't no matter how soon you tried. When I let Camofrog go, I instantly regretted it, and tried to wifi him over to my other town, but he never showed up.

So I have a couple of more questions about voided villagers, I have not played long so sorry if they get asked a lot. I had one villager move out so far and no one wanted her (Violet) so she went to void? I heard that you see voided villagers in main street? I have not seen her but about a few days after she moved I picked up a villager via street pass (Quillson) so maybe we traded? One last, do voided villagers only get picked up by someone that comes to my town or can they get picked up by someone I visit?

I ask because Curlos is moving on 5th and I don't think anyone wants him but I'd hate to I unintentionally dump him on a friend

Someone got Rocket from me visiting them once, even tho it had been over 2 months since I had voided her..so I'm not sure how long they stay in the void

one way to make sure they don't go into your void is to "give them away" to someone. (this is not OP's question but Maude's). I didn't like Bella and I didn't want her to show up in my main street or accidentally show up in a friend's town, so I gave her away to someone who wanted her on the forums here. win win.

I not sure how many villager you need to move out to see the 1st one (bet is 3?) but you will definitely see all of them there regardless void or give away.

Also when I void a villager, I TT backwards 1 month and slowly TT back to the actual date,then I can safely do any trade at any town and they won't even move in to any poor innocent soul did trade with me =x and I won't be blame the evil streetpasser xD
