saving in your house/bed?

hello! my mom recently told me she goes home and gets into her bed to save every time she plays. i find this really cute, and i’ve heard a few similar stories around the internet. does anyone else go home to save or know someone who does?

I remember when I first got the game and I was still in a tent I used to go back in and get into the cot ever night before saving. I've gotten too lazy since then. Now I'm like "this cliffside abandoned wasteland area with no ladder will do, good luck" lol!!

I used to get in my PJs before I saved but now I'm too lazy.

What else did I decorate a bedroom for?! But yeah, I too have been getting a bit more lazy, sometimes I even just put the switch in sleep mode without save + end first...

I haven't gone back to my bed to save in forever. Whenever I'm not busy with a side project I try to though.

this is really interesting!!! the thought never even occurred to me, although i have played previous animal crossings which required getting in bed to save your game. the fact that it occurred naturally to you all is really fascinating lol!

I just save wherever I am when I decide I want to stop playing for the day/night!

Heck no, I don't have time to run all the way back to my house just to save. Sometimes I'm just lazy about it, like when I was TT'ing to finish the wedding stuff I saved while I was on Harvey's island lol.

I already have to deal w it in AC:GCN cause you can't save the game unless you talk to the Gyroid outside your house so I'm grateful that NH (and all the other AC games) gives me the option to save wherever I want.

I don't save in my bedroom on the bed but I always go home and change into my next day outfit before I sleep/save for the day. I like ending the day in my house

I always have my character go to bed and then I save. I even tour my house and switch off the lights and the TVs and the music in all the rooms. It's like a little ritual by now, and I'm very fond of it.

I used to do this all the time in New Leaf and I started doing that in New Horizons for the first couple of days but have since felt it's too much work to go all the way back to my house just to save it.

omg i love this, especially because it suggests that when you save your character immediately just conks out wherever they’re standing

Yes! Every time I’m ready to quit for the day I go back to my house and save the game in my bed.

If it’s during the day I leave the light off, during the evening the light is on, and when I quit during the night I leave my lamp on. When I turn the game on in the morning I make sure to change into whatever outfit I feel like wearing for the day while at night I just wear whatever I had on. It really gets me immersed into the game . I’ve never gotten pj’s though. If I ever find some I might start wearing them before saving at night.

Edit: Oh yeah, I also turn on things like the garden facet (or whatever it’s called) during the day and things like the garden lamp on during the night.

That’s a kind offer, but I prefer to find them when they pop up at the store. I like to go shopping for my items and clothes.

My character never sleeps, he just idles outside in the rain until Isabelle interrupts the meditation with the morning news
