Saving for 3 minutes..

It literally just saved for 3 minutes when leaving someone’s island to come back to my own. That seems really odd. Is anyone else having issues with online since the maintenance? Super slow too

I think the Nintendo website said the server maintenance was lasting until 7:30 pm (in my time zone, meaning a half hour from now). So maybe they are just still working on it?
Edit: I found this, even though the other notices were gone

Maybe because the maintenance, but if not, I don't know.

We've been noting longer than normal save times too, a few weeks ago we had waited for 15 minutes and wound up just closing out and hoping for the best, but we've noticed it taking longer without going to that extreme. It could also just be an issue with our Switch, maintenance seems more likely.

Saving when returning from an online session generally takes longer due to various reasons.
